I give it five stars because for the price I feel like the speakers have an acceptable quality. It's only been installed a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to longevity. But for $60ish dollars, it's a great unit. Receiver is well worth the price by itself - the speakers are fairly meh but it's hard to be too judgmental given the price point. I was replacing some 15 year old Kenworths which were blown and weather beaten all the hell - well, as it happens, they still sounded better with the new receiver than the new ones do. Slight bummer there. But, really, it's unfair to expect a $60 radio & speaker set to sound like a speaker that costs $30-40 by itself. And the included speakers work just fine. I suspect the unit is not very water proof - luckily I already had a weathertight cover that closes securely over the receiver from the old unit. I would strongly recommend getting one as it is not included in the kit and if the radio is exposed to the elements, I have little doubt it would die almost instantly. If it is mounted into some sort of cabinet, I assume it would be fine. The remote is a nice touch. I thought it silly at first but as it happens, it makes it much easier to adjust the radio without having to pop open the weather proof cover. ... show more

Sound quality and functionality is quite good for this price point. It took quite a bit of time to get the radio to be stable in the mounting bracket. Face plate that goes around the radio has very flimsy clips that broke off so I will not be able to use that.

The waterproof radio is what we wanted this radio for mostly. But for small speakers it is very good sound. We have a rag top and drive without doors so the road noise is loud but the radio is just right. Price was really nice. We had all the parts to install and wire it up. And I love the white system instead of a black stereo. Great find and two thumbs up!! ... show more

Bought this to put in my boat from 1978. It wired in perfectly and comes with wiring diagrams so you know which wires are ground and hot. The speakers are pretty nice too, although not amazing due to the price. They did what I needed them to do before my boat sank, but that’s a story for another day. It's OK for the price bit cheap and flimsy. Wires are extremely thin and it does not like any kind of moisture what so ever. Sometimes turns on and so.etimes not. What can you expect for the price though.
