This guitar kit was a gift and it passed all the checks off of the list for an electric guitar setup. It is beginner friendly, tunes easily, durable, great size, and it comes with a starter amp and some accessories which is a plus. As far as the guitar goes I’d say it’s a good buy so far. For the guitar I’d rate it at 5/5. So far it seems like a good starter guitar. However, regarding the issues registering the guitar or getting in contact with customer support I’d rate this at a 1/5 or 2/5 at best. I am frustrated regarding the false advertising regarding the 2 months of free lessons. I tried to set this up, which the QR code sends me to an app called Fret Zealot. I do get 2 weeks free. However that is different than the advertisement. The other QR code is to register the guitar and by doing so I can get a free distortion pedal (pending supplies). However I can’t use the website on my phone or on a computer to register this. On my phone it won’t let me submit my information and if I use a computer it can’t find the product. I had to call Pyle USA at least 10 times over 3 days before I finally got ahold of someone. Prior to reaching anyone, the customer service line lets me stay on hold for 15 minutes and then I can leave a voicemail. However I never got called back. I also submitted a message regarding my issue on their website and sent an email. Again I didn’t contacted. Eventually I got in contact with Pyle USA. Once my problems got addressed I was told the two months of free lessons aren’t a thing anymore. I was then told to follow the instructions regarding the distortion pedal. However, there is no way for me to do this. I am definitely frustrated with this for sure. ... show more

The guitar has been great, comes with everything i need to get started with practicing as a beginner. Although the amp is kinda small, with the right settings there is a wide variety of great quality sounds to work with. The tuner works pretty well and after breaking the strings in, it stays in tune very well. Guitar has a beautiful finish and the volume and tone adjusters on the guitar are actually metal instead of the cheaper plastics used on other more popular guitars. The whammy works really well on this guitar and is consistent with it's tuning after using the whammy. The amp chord is on the thinner side, so that is something to be careful with, but as long as it is well managed it shouldn't be a problem at all. The strap it came with is also really comfortable. It is not 100% the best guitar and amp, but i would say for beginners and even intermediates this is a great guitar. The gig bag is also pretty good, it fits perfectly, but is not very padded. Also comes with tools for adjustments and some extra strings. ... show more

Did not st started calling the company immediately this was two days two or three days before Christmas. They were out of the office we tried after Christmas. They were out of the office. We tried after New Year's for about three days. Finally when they answered they said they couldn't do anything about it. Horrible horrible horrible company would never buy this item. More so it was probably an easy fix on their part but their customer service would get a zero out of five stars for me I mean might not have been the most expensive item but for $170 it should've at least worked once nothing from the minute it came out of the box I suggest not buying it because if there is a problem, you won't get any help at all Amazon is replacing it. I ordered a different one from another company and hoping that that will work for him. He was so excited to get it that I gave it to him before Christmas now he's had to wait all this time. No visible damage or defects noticed. Seems everything is tight and well put together. The IOS tuner app works well although there is only a single 1 star review on it and the main complaint was the free app costs too much!?! Ooook! I’d add a better review but Apple says since I’m on IOS 26 beta I’m not allowed to. All things considered I’m surprised this doesn’t sell for close to $300. If I have to leave a critique I’ll agree with others that pointed out the guitar strap quality worries me and I’ll be replacing it, but it really feels petty saying this. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is thinking about getting a guitar. The fact it’s from a known name brand is just icing on the cake. ... show more

Neck is dark. Not what is shown in the photo. Shoulder strap very cheap and very short. The size is good. Weight is good. The rest remains to be seen. So tired of getting the wrong color 🥺
