We use these for 3 - 4 shows per week and so far they've outlasted any we have ever tried. They are a million times sturdier too..The one con though is that the knobs strip out pretty quick. I had to buy extra knobs and replace those a few times over the past two years, but unlike the others we've tried, when these ones start giving out the poles don't just slide down mid song and make you look like an idiot. We have played about 400 shows with them now and I am just finally coming back to order more. We also probably don't protect them as well as we should... so, they may last even longer if kept safer

My original order was a single stand that came as a used offering from AZ. I got a used stand with busted and missing parts, which is fine but AZ recommended me to go to Pyle first, so I tried that. Never got a response and ended up having to return the single. It sucks cause I only really needed one of them, but with two I loaned one to my drummer, and this is where the positives really begin. These things are heckin' tanks, for real. Super super sturdy. In fact, so sturdy that I'm actually rigging one of them to hang an instrument off of it (as vocalist and keyboards, keytar-stand is gonna be a great prop). They can handle an almost full extension on the boom with a mic, great for my drummer, and they are also convertible for my gig roommates who like to extend them super high for their condenser mics and garage recording style. Originally I was kinda mad at Pyle for the service thing since I basically had to buy two of them. Now I am genuinely glad I did.

These two microphone stands are better and more stable than most of the microphone stands I owned; however, I gave 2 stars only because one of the microphone stand was used while the other is not. I didn't really see its til, I put the mic holder on the stand and my thumb got hurt. As I look on the microphone stand top where has a screwed that can move up and down. One side is good while the other side seems to be used and the black paint came off which cut my thumb as (picture) and a little black piece still stuck inside my thumb skin. I checked on the other microphone stand (picture), no scratches or anything on it. Now, I have to use a needle or something sharp to get its out. As far as stable, I would recommend these microphone stand over other microphone stands. However, slow shipping and you need to check carefully before use to avoid getting hurt...

The boom is crazy hard to tighten. I even added an additional washer to try to get it tighter. Hand tightening simply doesn't get it tight enough. If you have the boom extended and more than 45 degrees, the weight of the mic starts to slowly drag it down. I ended up using a wrench to get leverage to tighten it, and now it's pretty stiff and I simply don't ever loosen it. When I fold it up, I can push it down without loosening it at all. It's a good price and is VERY sturdy. They need to figure out why it's so hard to tighten.

These are great heavy duty stands that are very versatile. We use them for mics as well as small, lightweight lights behind. Our DJ set up would recommend these for mobile DJs that have light applications, but don’t want to put up a full light rack.

I highly recommend this product. A very sturdy, solid, heavy-duty, good-quality mic stand is on the market. I am very happy to buy this product. The only downside is, when a short person sits on a chair and tries to perform on the stage, the stand looks so big & thick and comes to somebody's attention! in front of the performer on the stage. If the lock mechanism can be lowered 8-10 ", and the legs can be shortened 3-5", also, plastic knobs can be replaced with metal ones. Plastic doesn't have a long lifetime and easily loses its durability and can have deformation and be broken. If the designers take into account what I mentioned, I think, this product can be the best heavy-duty mic stand on the market. Thank you.

They need to make the boom pivot stronger so it will hold the mic in the position you are trying to set it. Tightened the boom as hard as I could with my hand and still wouldn't hold the mic at the set position. I fixed mine with a little modification.
