They look to be made very well. Packaging was good. They just don't sound good at all. Yes, I know they are cheap. But honestly they sound exactly that way. If you just need a speaker for sound and don't care about quality of audio then these will be just fine for you. I put them in the dash of my TJ and fit was excellent. Don't know about the quality of the sound yet but if they are anywhere as good as my other Pyle speakers I already have my nephew will be happy as a Christmas present. I can't afford to pay for the higher prices ones for a Christmas present for him. There are not but so many available speakers for purchase in this size. They will fit perfectly in the front door of a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu. Anytime you need to know speaker sizes if you can't find out by using the Amazon garage you can always check crutchField.com ... show more

I'm not sure what everyone's on about with how much "bAsS" these put out. They're anemic at best and I've tried them with a couple different head units. Now, for the price, they're not bad if you just want some basic sound, and they come with quite a bit of installation equipment (grilles, some wiring, template) so they're a pretty good value. But, I'd put them on par with most new, crappy, base OEM speakers. They'll still be an upgrade if your speakers are old and busted out probably, though, and for the price it's not too bad. ... show more

    • One speaker quit after a week. Sound was meh before.
Just started busting out reviews. It’s been a while! Not good quality. Basically stopped working! After a couple weeks it blew. Then completely stopped working and folding the window down and removing the dash in a wrangler yj is such a pain, we still haven’t gone through the trouble

I bought this to affordably upgrade the speakers in my Jeep Wrangler 2002. I did need to by the mounting plate and a speaker connector separately but for this price, it was still more affordable than other speakers and there was no sacrifice on quality. Sounds great with the soft top flapping and the windows down while off-roading. Very reasonable and beneficial upgrade for sure. ... show more

These speakers are cheap but they work and they sound okay. The OEM speakers for my chevy pickup were 4 times the price for a pair so I thought why not try these inexpensive replacements. They fit perfectly into the dash and they don't sound too bad. Not a lot of base but they are clear and they sound just fine. It's a step up from having no sound at all while I wait for something better to come along on a discounted super duper going out of business 85% off sale.... or ..... Great 4x6 speakers - THE WIRE IS JUNK - I thought one speaker was not working, but it turned out to be the included wire. I recommend using different wire than what was included. I think Pyle would be better off not even including this crap wire. My guess is some of the bad reviews are the problem of the wire, not the speaker. - I am using these for a retro radio build (prototype) and wanted two small cheap speakers, these fit the bill. Speakers: Great value. I doubt I could push 250 watts to them. But they seem happy with 80-100 watts. (not bench tested) Included wire: Put into the trash bin. ... show more

Bought these to replace a rotted speaker in a 92 Bonneville door, and had these around. Purchased them in order to reach 'free shipping' eligibility but had plans to replace dash tweeters in my blazer, but as luck would have it, I used them where they were needed. Installed a little JVC head unit and wham the very first time I turned it on the right one blew out. Crackling and distortion at anything above 12/35. Even on stock unit it sounded awful and figured with an 'improved power handling and rating' it would benefit... boy was I wrong. Dont waste your time with Pyle, pyramid, or any of the other chincy brands. We all know better. Cheap materials = trashy product. Might be good for a while but that's the key. Buy 18 of these in the lifespan of one OEM paper cone speaker and you still will need to buy more. ... show more
