  • Works perfectly
Style: 4CH Switch Selector
My 26-year-old Sony AM/FM receiver died, and the comparable Sony replacement unit lacked a second set of wired speaker jacks ("B") like the old unit had. [FWIW, as far as I could tell after searching really hard, no current Sony receiver accommodates a second set or wired speakers, nor do they include an AM tuner...sigh...]. This Pyle device provides that missing speaker function. I can now (again) listen to only "A" (along with the rest of the 5.2 options in the family room), or just "B" in the kitchen, or even "A" plus "B". To use the Pyle device, I ran four wires from the new receiver's main front L&R jacks into the input of the Pyle device, and connected the main front L&R speakers to the Pyle's output for switch "A" and connected the satellite speakers in the kitchen to the output for switch "B". Note: I did have some concern since all four speakers are 8Ω, and worried that having A &B engaged simultaneously might result in impedance mismatching; however, that seems not to be the case -- or at least, not to the point that causes any problem for the switch or the receiver's amp, both of which include "protection" functions. I would recommend this product. ... show more

  • Does the job well
Style: 4CH Switch Selector
Exactly what I wanted to control 3 pairs of speakers easily. Only issue is minor.. The instructions do not explain what the “protection” button actually does. As an electrician, I assume it just places a resister in series to keep the impedance up when playing multiple sets of speakers to prevent your amp from struggling. When pressed, the volume is lower even when just one pair is connected. When playing all three sets of speakers, even with protection button pushed, my amp still warmed up a bit. That tells me it isn’t putting them in series to maintain friendly impedance. Beyond my curiosity though, it seems to do the trick, and my amp still lives. ... show more

  • Simple install, works great!
Style: 4CH Switch Selector
I replaced the stereo in an RV with a car stereo and used this switch to go between four different zones. Works perfectly and sounds great!

  • Channel Speaker Selection Works!!
Style: 4CH Switch Selector
I have speakers in different areas of my shop, including some outside. I wanted to be able to kill the exterior speakers when it gets late, as to not be rude to the neighbors while I'm wrenching away at midnight to my tunes. This works just as it should so I can select any pair depending on which area I'm working in. Or have the whole place jamming inside and out. ... show more

  • What a disappointment
Style: 4CH Switch Selector
Title: Extremely Disappointed - Avoid This Speaker Selector Rating: ⭐️ I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I must express my extreme disappointment with this speaker selector. I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but this product truly deserves it. The primary issue that left me utterly frustrated is the abysmal quality of the wire clips. They are so flimsy that they practically disintegrate in your hands or, in my case, break after a mere day of use. It's infuriating how poorly they hold the wires in place, making the entire functionality of the speaker selector practically useless. Additionally, the design flaw regarding the wire entrance only adds insult to injury. The opening is ridiculously thin, making it a struggle to fit in wires, especially if you have 12-gauge speakers like I do. I had to tediously trim down the wires just to make them fit, which is an inconvenience no one should have to endure. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration – steer clear of this speaker selector. It's a regrettable purchase that has left me questioning the quality control of the manufacturer. My recommendation: explore other options that won't leave you dealing with broken clips and the hassle of modifying your speaker wires to make them fit. Why do they have QC stickers???? ... show more

  • Excellent little unit, provided your power handling needs are low and you use pins or tiny wire.
Style: 4CH Switch Selector
I needed a very compact unit for a kitchen system to fit on a small shelf. I have three sets of speakers hooked up to the Pyle PSS4 and connected it to a Pyle Home PCA4 Mini 2x120 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier: NHT super zeros (86db/watt), and two pair of Parasound C-260 in wall speakers (88db/watt) via nice Kimber 16 gauge in-wall speaker wire that cost considerably more than the rest of the rig. The result is musically satisfying output to moderately loud levels. The PSS4 switcher unit is sonically almost transparent in this setup. I can hear a softening when all the speakers are engaged, probably as a result of the impedance change in the ganged load. With only one, the sonic difference is virtually undetectable. In operation each speaker is selected or deselected by depressing its button - which functions as a toggle. Press it in and the speaker is selected. Press it in again and it pops out, deselecting that speaker pair. In the rear the speaker and amp connections are made via small spring loaded tabs. You'll need pins or very thin wire to fit in those little holes. I used pins. FYI - the first PSS4 unit I ordered was defective. The sound was muffled dramatically. I returned it for my current unit promptly and it was like night and day - so be aware that quality might vary. All in all, this unit provides excellent value for the money. ... show more

  • Volume control for zones, no wifi needed
Style: 4CH Switch and Vol Selector
I'm a big fan of this unit, as I like to have hard-wired speakers for quality. And I don't want the Whole-House WIFI type devices that work only as good as the internet. This is old school, and I love it. Works 100%
