So far I really like it. The tuner included works really well, I like the different modes for it. I’m just starting out but so far everything seems well made- had to rosin the bow A LOT but I guess that’s normal for brand new violins. I did snap one of the strings already while trying to tune (thank goodness it comes with an extra set) but that was probably user error. I will add more if anything fantastic or horrible comes along, hah, but so far so good! ... show more

I am a violin player and bot this for a potential student. Should have known better. Best go to a music store. This is defective. Notice on the picture the G string is on the edge of the black finger bar. I tried to adjust the wood string holder to the right but when you tune it up it slides to the left. The bottom unit that holds the strings is off centered. I'm returning this. I feel sorry for those that are not familiar with this instrument and would never know it is flawed. UPDATE: Well today 10-13-22 I bot one from a music store. You really have to inspect the violin before you buy. I assumed it was fine but when I went to give to my student, the fine tuner didn't work at all! Went back to music store for exchange or refund. They only offered to "fix" it. Conclusion, I'll probably buy from Amazon and if there's a defect, I can get an exchange or refund. ... show more
