Update #2 2026 had this rug for over 5 years now washing it every 3 or 4 months. The backing is starting to fail and flake a bit, so it is about time to replace it I think. Overall I'm very pleased with this rug it's still soft and does it's job well almost as good as new when it clean (it's been a muddy winter so far). It has a few more snags and stains now but still looks nice for the most part. I also updated my robot vacuum to the roborock S8 Pro Ultra it flips the coners sometimes but the mopping attachments don't drag or bother this rug for the most part it still stays put but not as well as before. It will slide when the dog runs into the house so I'm fixing it every few days now. Update #1 2023 owned it for 2 years now. Still absorbing water and dirt well. It washes okay I've washed it 5 or 6 times now in top load washer. I don't fully dry it I run it on low for 20 minutes or so then hang it to dry the rest of the way over night. The color has held up okay between sun and washing the backing isn't coming off yet also no longer holds well. The roborock vacuum the dog and foot traffic have it curling over all the time now. We also have added a dog dor in the sliding patio dog. So far the rug doesn't slide around just curls over on the corners alot. Original review 2021 purchased the 32x47 mat for in front of the siding patio door. It works well to the dry off the dogs feet when he comes inside, as well as catches alot of the sand and dirt from the yard. It looks funny being long ways but it works better that way, allows our large dog to get a few steps on it when he is sprinting into the house. I'm now training him to stop on the rug when coming in for treats or a quick pet. If he stands on the rug for 20 plus seconds his feet are dry enough to not leave any prints on the floor. The rug also works well for trapping the garden dirt off of my shoes. I haven't washed it yet but I'm doubting it will hold up well over time. It already has a few pulls in just 3 weeks. The carpet fibers are soft and feel nice on bare feet, they are tightly packed and low pile. The none slip backing holds it in place well and my robot vacuum (older roborock S4) without any mopping attachments goes right over it without any issues. It took about 2 days for the rug to smooth out the creases from shipping and lay flat. Overall the PURRUGS Dirt Trapper Door mat 32" x 47 looks nice and works well but already has a few pulls and is a bit costly. I paid full price about $50 for the mat.
