Before buying this I definitely would have mocked and extremely ridiculed a friend who spent $150 on a pillow, but all my reading led this to be a good pillow for my personal preferences so I took a chance knowing I could return through amazon if it was a flop. I'm the guy who buys $20 sheets not $30 sheets so this was a big stretch for me but the reading & info backed it up so I tried it. Long and short: if you are a person who wakes up with a sweaty head/hair and wet pillow from the sweat, this is a game changer pillow for you. It has a soft/fine integral pillowcase (you should not add your own on top) that has a lot of airflow through the fabic and houses the innovative part: it has a hex grid of what feels like silicone right under & permanently sealed in the thin pillowcase. Sounds odd but feels fine and its magical in keeping your head cool. Gets the heat away from your head a half inch to let it get absorbed into the huge void of the middle of the pillow and the result is that you don't get your pillowcase wet from sweat and wake up as a result. I didn't even notice or think I cared about this before, but man am I sleeping better now! I went from briefly waking up roughly 10 times a night to flop my sweaty pillow to the other side to about 1-3 times now with this, and its never annoyingly wet now, just a preference swap that dries out fast. So that's a major sleep improvement, but it also just feels way nicer to lay on, by a huge degree. I realized a couple years ago that the things you spend many hours per day in (shoes, chair, car, bed, pillow) should be the best quality you can stretch to afford, and this is now one of those rare items for me where I buy a model that's a few pay grades above my income. ... show more

    • Greater Pillow Ever Invented?
Style: King - Tall
It's a lofty claim, but wow - it may very well come close to that claim. I ordered a King - Tall, (I'm 6'4"), and since receiving it, I have stopped using both of my Tempurpedic pillows (Cloud and Symphony models). This pillow's unique hex-grid really works wonders. It's cool feeling the face, and while the grid pattern takes a little getting used to, I actually look forward to turning over on it because it's so nice and cool. I'm primarily a side sleeper, so I needed the extra support for my wide & square shoulders. Laying on my back in somewhat comfortable, but this Tall model provides a bit too much support and I can tell I wouldn't be okay with anything taller. I'm very tempted to order the Medium as well so that I can alternate depending how I feel (back or side-sleeping). One key piece of information I will share is that I am using a 3" memory foam topper on my bed. So this means that all pillows are "higher" because my body sinks into the mattress more than a standard mattress. You can make your own determinations about what that means for you. ... show more

Over the last 15 years, I’ve spent a fortune on cheap and pricey pillows. None have lived up to any hype. I had accepted the fact that I would have to rotate 4 pillows every few days, and that only offered minor relief. Enter the most expensive pillow I’ve ever bought. Not only is it the most comfortable, I’ve not had one neck kink since. If it lasts as long as it took to acquire my mountain of pillows, it will be worth the price. Had this pillow existed before then, I would have saved money. The following is my opinion. I initially ordered the standard medium pillow. Based on pillows I’ve bought, I think it’s a little more on the “tall” side. I’m a back sleeper and it seemed to elevate my head more compared to my other “medium” pillows. I returned it for a “low” pillow and it was perfect. If you like a medium to low, get the low. If you like fat pillows get the medium. I’m not even sure what the tall would be like, but again, just my experience. Bottom line, best pillow ever. ... show more
