A friend brought over her open bag of this food for some outside kitties. But I let mine taste it. They really liked it so we switched. I had purchased an expensive grain free food that was $35 for 3# and they wouldn't eat it. The ingredients seem to be better than many other store carried pet foods. I like that Chicken is the first ingredient, not corn. I will never feed any cat (mine or feral) a food that lists corn as a first ingredient. I used to work for a pet food company and I know any "by-products" are not good ingredients. This also lists "chicken meal" which means it is actual chicken. Not "poultry meal" which can be any part of a bird, including non edible parts. I also like that it does not smell like clay or a manufactured smell. I am happy with the overall health of my girls. Their coats are very soft and shinny, they are happy eating this formula and seem to be digesting most of it. By that I mean they have smaller stool. If your pet has a large stool the. They are not digesting the food and nutrients well, it is just going thru them. The result is more clean up for you, less value for your money and your pet is not getting the nutrients they need. ... show more

My cat prefers this food over any fresh fish, other meat, or wet cat food (much less any other dry cat food). He maintains his weight with this food as well. Before I found this food he was gaining too much weight. I hope they keep making this because it's the only food he likes.

En cambio, me agrada el nivel de taurina que incorporan. Generalmente se lo revuelvo con otras croquetas de mejor calidad para que se mantenga interesado en el plato en general. My cat loves this dry food, and I think the ingredients are good. From what I've learned about cat foods, if it's approved by WSAVA and AAFCO, it's good food, as long as it's supplemented by wet food (my cat won't drink water whatsoever, I even bought him a fountain, but he ignores it!). The real downside for me is the packaging - more precisely, the lack of a zipper. I really hope the company makes their bags easy to open and close. ... show more

Since I could no longer find the Purina Pro Plan chicken and egg grain free food, I had to find kitty a new grain free food. The chicken and rice gave him the runs. Within a week of eating this food, his stools were much healthier again. He won’t eat the expensive foods like Merrick or Wellness, so this is a great, healthy alternative. My cats love this food but whoever packaged the product slit a hole in the side of the bag. The hole is on the side of the bag and not the part of the bag that would've been under the seam of the box when I opened it. It was rattling with kibble nuggets when I picked it up and brought it in the house. My cat was very interested since he could smell the product that was inn the bottom of the box. He cleaned up the mess inside the box for me but hopefully, someone at the shipping department will see this and be more careful. ... show more

When Felix had a severe allergic reaction to his food I had to find a better recipe for him. I researched the ingredients of many top named brands and came away very angry and disappointed. They claimed to be healthy recipes and were actually worse than what I was already feeding him. Please do your research on your pets food ingredients. You do it for yourself and your family, extend that caring to your fur babies too. This food actually saved Felix's life. This is my second time buying it.I bought both the chicken and fish formulas. While he enjoyed both, he seems to prefer the chicken recipe, so I ordered 2 more bags. I allow Felix to self feed, and he gets full on much less of this food. The litterbox isn't as toxic anymore as his body seems to be accepting this new food too. I very highly recommend this product to anyone who has a cat that is older or has a sensitive belly. Do your research first and foremost. You will be very pleased with the ingredient list, then let your baby try it. My cat really likes this type of food and I just switch between the chicken and fish flavors. She starts begging for it every day, twice a day like clock work lol. She’s a healthy weight and her veterinarian recommended I stick with this brand. She’s been eating it for almost a year and I switch over to the wet food of the same brand/type every so often to make sure she’s as hydrated as she needs to be. This is good stuff! ... show more
