This is a very attractive small bookcase. However, if you order it , be sure to pay attention to the fact that it is a "Ladder" bookcase. The Bottom Shelf is indeed the measurements given in the description , but the shelves decrease in depth as you go up the ladder. The bottom shelf IS 13.25" deep, but the top shelf is only about 8.5" deep . These measurements include the rim of the shelf as well. When I ordered it , I had no clear idea what I would use it for , there are several possibilities, in the home office, bedroom, bath , or bedroom. But with the small depth of the top 2 shelf , it may limit your choices. It was easy to assemble , we had 2 people . It would have been more difficult for one person to do. The packaging included a small wrench , which is all the tools that were required, but we found it easier to use our own screwdriver. The directions were mostly just diagrams, very little written instructions. I guess that's how they all do them these days so they don't have to translate into many languages, but written instructions with diagrams are easier to decipher. It took about 15 minutes to put together, no problems. I like this little shelf , it is very attractive and can be useful in many different ways.

This shelf is a nice little shelf. It feels like it is made out of a light wood. I like that each shelf has a little rail around it to keep things from falling off. Assembling it was SUPER easy. The allen wrench they provide has a neat shape to it, an S-shape, and it's a LOT easier to use than other L-shaped allen wrenches. We were so excited about it, and how easy it made the assembly compared to other furniture we've assembled. We had the whole thing assembled in less than 10 minutes. We will definitely be keeping that little tool (and shopping for more sizes of that shape - it's opened up a whole new world for us!). It is a great little shelf. Lightweight but well made.

I grabbed this bamboo shelf set anticipating using it for plants. I can fit one large(ish) plant on the top as shown here but any others will have to be much smaller. The vertical openings are all 9.5 inches max. I’ll probably place one long flowing plant at the top and a bunch of small flowering plants, bonsais, and small cacti ob the lower shelves. Assembly is easy but annoying. Nearly two dozen screws and all have allen wrench type heads. Would have been so much easier if they were regular philips or flat. Instead of power theough with my power driver, I used the included allen wrench. Support seems good, although not really necessary for the small plants I plan to stack on here.

The Purbambo 4 Tier Ladder Shelf was perfect for increasing a bit of storage in the bathroom. With the 4 tiers, I was able to store additional toilet paper, hair products, and other small accessories. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble the shelf which I thought was relatively quick. All the parts and tools were included in the package as well (with one spare screw). One thing I did notice that my Purbambo 4 Tier Ladder Shelf wasn't sitting on the floor evenly after assembly. I wasn't able to correct this which is why I took off a star. I feel like they should've included some non-slip pads that could be stuck onto the bottom. Another thing to keep in mind is the sturdiness of the shelf itself. The legs feel like solid wood but the shelves feel more like cardboard or some type of manufactured wood. I've attached a photo of it here. I hope this helps with your decision!

I originally had this on my main floor with glass pieces, but ended up putting it in the tv room to store dvds. From lugging it up and down stairs, changing decor, the kids beating around on it, it has held up beautifully! There are not dents and dings in the finish, it’s not wobbly, and it looks like there is still a ton of life in it! It looks great and could easily fit anywhere, and there’s plenty of space for various items, whether it be books, used in the pantry, even clothes! It was super easy to put together, I did it myself in a couple of minutes and had no issues. I expect this will last for a good long time!
