  • Easy to Use
Item Package Quantity: 1
I am a 65 year old female, this product is very easy to use, light weight, nozzle is adjustable to desired width of spray, Wand is adjustable and very easy to adjust to desired height. No pumping or need to set sprayer down. Battery life is great. Great product and value for the money. I just wished I would have bought this product years ago and saved myself tons of headaches. It cuts my work in half. ... show more

  • Excellent so far!!
Item Package Quantity: 1
I love this sprayer! I live near a swampy area on a wooded property, and wasps are a constant pest, so I started spraying the porch coverings and soffits of my house and shed with a peppermint essential oil mixture (2 droppers of peppermint oil and a few drops of Dawn dish soap in the tank, mixed with up to 1.25 gallons of water). The wasps stay out of my outdoor living areas and away from the windows. 2 years ago, I started doing this with a 32oz spray bottle, so you can imagine how exhausting that was. This sprayer makes the job is SO MUCH easier! I would say the mistake I made at first was putting the battery in backward because it's flat on both ends, and there was no reaction. But I had just charged the battery, so I figured it probably worked, and checked again. Flipped it around to the correct position and it has been great ever since! 1 other issue I had - the little hose inside the sprayer container became disconnected from the top, so it wouldn't work. Reattached the little hose, and it's all good again! i have used this sprayer 3 or 4 times now, but i can't rate for longevity yet. I hope it lasts at least a couple years, and if it does, I would definitely buy again. I only spray to repel wasps every 3-4 months, except winter. ... show more

  • Critical: Make sure battery polarity is correct
Item Package Quantity: 1
The star ratings I gave the product overall and in value are reduced because I haven't used the sprayer enough to know about longevity. The star rating for ease of use would have been 5 if not for the problem described below. Because of this issue, I must stop and get my glasses to decode the symbols provided -- it REALLY shouldn't be this hard. (Note: For the attached photos, I made sure the lighting was just right and the photos are considerably enlarged.) I have had this product for about 6 weeks and have used it twice, each time for about 1-1/2 to 2 hours. It has performed flawlessly so far. I am VERY happy to eliminate the frustrations brought on by the small hand pump sprayers. This sprayer does a much better job of spraying -- with a uniform spray pressure and spray pattern at all times -- than I could ever get from the small hand pump sprayers. Before I bought this, I read through a lot of the reviews on this site. Many of them talked of battery failures. Now that I have my own unit, I have observed how poorly the battery polarity is marked on the battery, the charger, and the carrier the battery is put in to insert the battery into the sprayer. For all rechargeable batteries it is paramount that proper polarity be observed when charging. The (+) end of the battery must be connected to the (+) indicated on the charger. Reversing the polarity will usually destroy the battery. Further, I take extra care to ensure proper polarity when inserting the battery into the carrier that slides into the sprayer. Depending on the circuit design, reversing the polarity in this situation may or may not cause failures. I have done no testing with regards to this circuit -- I just make sure the battery is inserted correctly. One thing that is unusual, the spring on the carrier goes to the (+) end of the battery. For most consumer devices, the spring goes to the (-) end of the battery. I am planning to clearly mark the proper polarity on the battery, the battery charger, and the battery carrier. The markings it comes with are TOTALLY inadequate. I would have expected the manufacturer to be interested in having these markings obvious -- I suspect their warranty expense would be greatly reduced by simply marking the battery, charger, and carrier in a suitable manner. Update: Purchased in May 2022 - failed in August 2025 For the first three years, I really liked this product. By late 2024, I began to see mild degradation in the battery life. I thought about getting new/additional batteries, but then the pump started to deliver at inconsistent pressures. Today, the best it could do was more of a trickle than a spray. I have disassembled it and found nothing obviously wrong, and, upon reassembly, there was no improvement in its pumping performance despite careful cleaning and light refurbishment. Oh well. Personally, I expected better longevity than this product delivered. Then again, I never have adopted / adapted to our current disposable society. One final thought: Small hand sprayers generally use a hand pump that pressurizes the air in the tank, thus forcing out the material to be sprayed without passing the material through the pump. This product instead actually passes the material to be sprayed through the pump. The material I was spraying should have been relatively benign, but the pump was really designed for just water, not water with chemicals. I don't know if this is what caused the pump to fail, but if so, good luck if you need to use harsher materials. If I were rating it today, I would give it 3 stars instead of 4. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY. Not What It Use To Be
Item Package Quantity: 1
I bought a Pumpless Flo-Master sprayer several years ago and loved it. That model used 4 D-cell batteries and they would power the sprayer for an entire season of spraying weeds without the need to replace them . . . and we live in Florida so a season is 3/4 of the year. One nifty feature was that the power switch had a reverse position so you could stick the spray nozzle in a container of clean water and run it in reverse. So it would run clean water through the pump making cleanup a snap. After several years of heavy use I realized it was gradually wearing out and that one day it was going to fail so I went online to Amazon last October and ordered a replacement. My original sprayer died today and so I used the new sprayer for the first time today and I'm completely dissatisfied and disenchanted having numerous complaints with the product: 1. My immediate observation was that my original sprayer cost under $30. My replacement sprayer bought last October cost $43. Today it sells for over $50! 2. No more "Reverse" feature. 3. It comes with a 3.7V lithium rechargeable battery. How do the astrophysicist engineers at Flo-Master expect that to produce power comparable to 4 1.5 volt D-Cell batteries? 4. Planning to use the sprayer today, I charged the battery yesterday so it had a full charge. And now a brief review of the product's performance: I was initially impressed with the output of the sprayer, but that didn't last long because after about 10 minutes of use, the sprayer simply shut off. I turned the power switch off and back on and the sprayer continued to work again. . . this time for about 5 minutes. This performance continued, each time after restarting it would run for less and less time before shutting off. I was down to 2-3 second intervals and eventually I gave up. While not certain of the problem, I'm suspecting the motor heats up and has a protective cut out circuit so it doesn't burn out but I'm so disgusted with this product and the company that makes it, I had no interest in looking into it further This is a classic example of a company shooting itself in the foot. They reached a level of excellence with a superb product and then compromised and cheaped-out on everything that made it great. Oh, and for that you get to pay twice as much! ... show more

  • If you want design, feature and function, for very reasonable cost, then this is your baby.
Item Package Quantity: 1
After much thought and research over the many reviews both good and not so good, I decided to take the plunge and see for myself. I already have two four gallon battery motor driven pump sprayers as well as a couple backpack pump sprayers so I am by no means a novice at this. I also own several two quart and one and a half gallon pump sprayers. This little Flo-Master by Hudson 5BPL Pumpless 1.3 Gallon Battery Powered Sprayer, White is just what the Doctor ordered for size and function. Let me explain. The negative reviews for "Dead battery and won't charge, Not standard battery, Top disconnects from tank, no pressure switch = must flip rocker switch to start / stop spraying, Shoulder straps etc. etc.", only to mention a few.... For the most part these claims are totally unfair and unfounded. The answer may be in the extremely poor user manual directions. Follow along as I continue. First things first. Regardless of just how poor the instructions are, you MUST read them and at least try to understand what you are supposed to do prior to use. 1. The battery is NOT none standard. It is a very highly rated 18650 rechargeable Li-Ion used in millions of devices throughout the world today. Having said that, it comes NOT ready to use. It MUST be fully charged which may take several hours to overnight to fully charge. This first charge is very important. Yes, the supplied battery charger is used to charge and recharge this 18650 battery cell and it does work and function nicely. To clear up any confusion associated with this battery and charger it is really quite simple as i'll explain. Pop the battery into the charger + to + and - to -, plug the charger into 110-120 vac and the red light comes on. This is what it should do if the battery is not fully charged. Leave it charging no matter how long it takes until the red light goes off and the green light comes on, meaning full charge and ready to use. Unplug the charger, pop the battery out and install it in the sprayer battery holder then install the battery holder with battery in it into the sprayer per instructions. 2. The top disconnects from the tank. Well, if you properly reconnect the top to the tank again per instructions I see no problem. However, if this kind of problem should arise I will do a retrofit update and install a couple of sturdy 4 pcs Locking Toggle Catch & Plates Heavy Duty Case Latch Clamp Clips available on ebay $2.59... 3. No pressure switch. Is it a problem to flip a rocker on/off switch? Really now. 4. Shoulder strap, etc. etc... Final Note; IF YOU WANT UTOPIA plan on paying for it. For the price I highly recommend this battery operated sprayer. For the price I give this sprayer five stars all the way. ... show more

Item Package Quantity: 1
When my (4) Old Hudson battery-powered sprayers finally died, I got this new model. It is way better as the rechargeable battery lasts a long time when fully charged. I now own (4) of this model, and ALL FOUR WORK GREAT ! Disregard any and all bad reviews and get you as many of these as you need (I keep one for each different type plant insecticide). These are so good I'll never "pump" a sprayer ever again. ... show more

  • Convenient sprayer but not a great sprayer.
Item Package Quantity: 1
First off I purchased an Amazon open box item and it stated it was complete, just opened damaged box. First thing I noticed was both the battery charging stand and the strap were missing. Fortunately I have a lithium fast charger that worked. This thing is great for spot spraying weed killer. I doubt you would want to try to cover larger projects. ... show more
