This is a great, functional little umbrella. It works well and folds up quite small to be tossed into a tote bag or tucked under the seat of your car without taking up room. It has a nice wrist handle and is so lightweight, it’s perfect for taking along on walks on cloudy days just in case you get caught in a downpour but don’t want to be bogged down by a large umbrella.

Very stylish and looks sturdy, but it did not last very long. It lasted a few weeks before malfunctioning. I got these for my teen sisters, it might be a case where they didn't take care of it, but I will be buying one for myself to see if it lasts long.

I dislike having to write negative reviews but when a device that is supposed to protect you from the elements have broken down in less than 3 months, there is a responsibility to warn other consumers. In the weakest and shortest of wind gusts, this umbrella inverts uncontrollably. The metal is so weak, it bent as you can see in the photo I posted. Weather condition is in New York City and we did not have extreme weather this past 2 months (October to January), just rainy days with some small shorts gusts of wind. But this umbrella FAILED miserably. Quality of manufacturing is poor. I’ve had generic black umbrellas from convenience stores which lasted for more than a year than this item. Wherever this umbrella was manufactured does NOT value quality. Be forewarned.

Call me old fashioned but there is something really nice about a wood handled umbrella compared to a plastic one. It just feels more normal when holding it. That and the umbrella itself is well made, sturdy and has a spring that wants to stay open and not collapse when it is raining hard or windy means this has so far been a great choice.
