EDIT: I am adding a star for customer service. I sent a request for how I could replace the power cord after my new kittens destroyed my power cord. The company has been fast and courteous in their response. I am still communicating with them to resolve my dilemma, but their communications has been wonderful. Thank you for reading my review. I do really like this small studio light box. The lighting is quite effective and the flexibility offered by changing between cold, hard, and warm lights at varied brightness helps make the box a good tool for my small product photo shots. Overall I love the box but some minor picks I have to improve would include: -Make the background color sheets fabric or other material besides a rigid plastic. They came folded the wrong way to sit in the assembled box so while trying to roll them the other way a couple developed crinkles in the plastic. I am making my own fabric to replace them because they just hold on with hook and loop patches. - This is really my own fault, but the connector between the power wires and the lights is pretty weak. I had it yanked out a couple times because kittens playing ran across the wires and snagged them. The first two times this happened I just plugged it back in. This last time I cannot find the plug because it came separated from the actual wires. I have reached out to the company to find out how I can buy a new wire, and my lesson is learned. I will apply gaffing tape to the wire on the side of the box if I can replace the wire in the future. Neither of those flaws are huge in my opinion and one was actually my own fault (darned cats) so I still give it 4 stars and I will still recommend this item if you need a small studio light box.

I recently purchased the PULUZ Mini Photo Studio Light Box, and overall, I've been pleasantly surprised by its quality, especially considering its affordable price point. Assembly was straightforward, and I found it incredibly easy to use, making it an ideal choice for anyone new to product photography or working within a tight budget. However, it's not without its flaws. The diffuser, while functional, was somewhat challenging to manage and occasionally produced a mild ring of shadow in my photos. This issue, though not a deal-breaker, did require a bit of extra effort to mitigate. Additionally, the included backgrounds are double-sided and folded, which seemed practical at first. Yet, the fold made the "back half" tricky to position properly, often resulting in it not staying in place as desired. A more thoughtful packing approach could potentially alleviate this minor annoyance. Another point to mention is the gradation in lighting when taking top-down shots. I was able to find a simple workaround by placing a reflective material against the open side of the box, which effectively balanced the light distribution for these types of photos. Despite these issues, the light box exceeded my expectations in terms of quality for the price. It's a solid choice for anyone needing to conduct quick product photography sessions, those on a budget, or beginners looking to dip their toes into photography. The PULUZ Mini Photo Studio Light Box offers a lot of bang for your buck, and I'd certainly recommend it to others with the caveats mentioned in mind.
