  • Home Generator - Hurricane Beryl
Used this to power my home during Hurricane Beryl in Houston. Powered with my house’s natural gas line. No assembly is required and the quality of the product is very good. The regular maintenance items are easy to get to. For example, the oil drain plug is pre-equipped with a tube for drainage. The generator is fairly silent for its class. If not on full load or if you’re using on idle - it’s very quiet. It comes with all you need to setup: funnel, gas quick connect hose, propane connector, and oil. Though be prepared to changeout the oil for the 5hr break in period. The remote start functions as intended and runs smooth. My only concern is when powering off. It tapers off and shutdowns... but followed by a large knock. We've read and followed through the entire guideline for startup and use. Checked the filter and spark plugs; they were in good condition. I'm not sure if the powering off knock is by design. Overall, I'm very happy with it. I’ll update a year review later. ... show more

  • Very good unit
System runs outstandingly. Runs 3000 square-foot home with two air conditioners totaling 5 tons with soft starts mounted on them. Recommended to a friend and he bought one as well. Also loves it. Absolutely recommend. Would buy again.

  • Initial start breakin period failed.
Follow all the instuctions in the manual to the letter. But the generator did not start. I check all the cables, hoses, and made sure that the oil was fill the the correct level. Battery was fully charged as wel. I tried different fuel types since this is a tri fuel generator and nothing. The generator would attempt to start but would not actually turn on. It sems like a problem with the actual Fuel Selector Knob switch. Either way this was defective and would not recommend. ... show more

  • Using To Power Entire House During Outages
After having this GeneSet for a year+, seems well designed and manufactured. Heavy to move when needed, but to be expected, for this larger than typical KW rating. Easy to operate and runs well on Gasoline and PropaneGas. Not yet tried NatGas. LowIdle\HighEfficiency Mode is useless if starting motor loads: Compressor, Pump, AirConditioner, etc Hidden oil plug was loose from factory, so a mess on GarageFloor untilI I found and fixed. Using with 240v50a4wireInletReceptacle and 240v50a2poleBreaker and Main\GeneInterlock at ServiceEntryPanel to power entire house during outages. Happpey buyer here. ... show more

  • Starts easily and runs well.
What else is there to say. Quiet, for it's size and I really like the push button start.

  • excellent overall but gets loud at full load, but quieter that a traditional generator.
I used this with several others working together to power a light show at a festival for a week. Overall i am very happy with the way it performed. Easy to use along with the multi fuel option make it very versatile. The only reason im giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is because its starts to get loud when you approach full load output which is why i used more that one. However, that being said it is still quieter that a non enclosed non inverter generator that has to run at full speed all the time to maintain line frequency. ... show more

  • What a bummer. Update,rating change
While initially I was pretty impressed with this genny, it was packed well. Every thing you need to get it started was provided..it is quiet. I did the recomended break in and put the unit away. The next time I went to use the unit it's totally dead.. the battery is good 12.8v fuel, oil all good. It took several days to hear back from customer service. At witch point they told me I have to send it to get serviced at a local shop. And they will not cover labor, only parts.. I've owned the unit 1 yr. Warranty is 3yrs.. the machine had approx 3.5hours of run time on it basically brand new.. if this was a smaller unit I'd take it in.. but it's several hundred lbs and moving it is not really an option for me.. so essentially I have a very expensive and heavy paper weight, unless I get lucky and figure out what went bad. And parts for this unit are only available though the manufacturer apparently. Over all not very happy with the support, couldn't even tell me if there were additional fuses or there locations to try and trouble shoot the issue.. after digging into the machine all 3 fuses were good... If I cannot repair this unit I'll be buying a different brand.. 2500 bucks for 3.5 of run time not such a good deal.. update after some back and forth,I was able to get info on the part I needed, which was backordered for "5 to 6 months" a module inside the panel,an entire panel had to be purchased as the module was not available on it own. And to my surprise one showed up and I was able to repair my unit in about 20 mins. And they didn't even charge me for the panel. The customer service was alil shakey but no one was ever rude or short with me in anyway, and at the end of the day they did make it right with me..so I'm changing my rating to 4 stars. And I'd like to say thanks to the people in customer service. ... show more
