  • Home Generator - Hurricane Beryl
Used this to power my home during Hurricane Beryl in Houston. Powered with my house’s natural gas line. No assembly is required and the quality of the product is very good. The regular maintenance items are easy to get to. For example, the oil drain plug is pre-equipped with a tube for drainage. The generator is fairly silent for its class. If not on full load or if you’re using on idle - it’s very quiet. It comes with all you need to setup: funnel, gas quick connect hose, propane connector, and oil. Though be prepared to changeout the oil for the 5hr break in period. The remote start functions as intended and runs smooth. My only concern is when powering off. It tapers off and shutdowns... but followed by a large knock. We've read and followed through the entire guideline for startup and use. Checked the filter and spark plugs; they were in good condition. I'm not sure if the powering off knock is by design. Overall, I'm very happy with it. I’ll update a year review later. ... show more

  • Perfect Buy
The Pulsar generator works excellently during emergencies, like a Texas hurricane. It runs on both gasoline and propane, which gives it flexibility in fuel options. Unlike a standard inverter generator, it’s powerful and reliable a must have for any emergency situation.

  • Starts easily and runs well.
What else is there to say. Quiet, for it's size and I really like the push button start.

  • Very good unit
System runs outstandingly. Runs 3000 square-foot home with two air conditioners totaling 5 tons with soft starts mounted on them. Recommended to a friend and he bought one as well. Also loves it. Absolutely recommend. Would buy again.

  • defective
Received my new generator, filled the oil, filled gas, connected battery, selected gas as fuel source and tried to start with no luck. I contacted their customer support who were not helpful and also were condescending. The generator was not getting fuel to the carburetor so I believe its the fuel selector valve. Either way I asked them to send me a new one and they refused to send a new on prior to me returning this one.. Normally this would be an issue but I live in Florida and we are in the heart of hurricane season. I will not buy another Pulsar product. ... show more

  • Not as output rated specs and Noisier than expected.
Operating noise level is way far from the Honda EU700IS and disappointed the rated output. I needed to reset the reset button several times during the load was close to 6KW

  • Angle Plug need extension plug to work in the generator
The generator can't use the 45 degree angle plug which was supplied with it. The plastic outside portion of the generator prevents an angle plug from seating. You need a straight in plug which is sold but not with the wire so you need to make it or get an extension plug allowing the angle plug to seat. You would have thought they would have figured this out. So another $ 45 for the extension plug. ... show more
