Great Camping Generator

Great price. It is MUCH quieter than my larger generator. Also light enough to handle alone. I have only used it with propane - not sure if I even want to mess with gasoline. I tested it out on my 2026 Coleman Keystone 13R (all electric), and it ran everything just like it was plugged into the wall. It is winter, so the heater, fridge, lights, laptop, microwave - water heater and water pump. Frees up my large generator for the house and bad weather.

Buyer Beware
Style: 2700W Dual Fuel + CO Alarm
Updated 5/30/26: I still have not been able to find a fix to keep the generator running. I have read online that the issue may be the design of where the exhaust was placed, causing exhaust fumes to set off the CO2 alarm, thus causing the generator to shut off. The fix was to place a fan alongside the generator to keep airflow away from the CO2 sensor. In my eyes, this is not a solution. I have used numerous times since purchase. I have ran monthly to avoid any issues. I purchased to use while RVing while boondocking to keep fridge running and to charge phones. I have attempted to use twice for this. Both times the generator will run for approx 6 hours and then shut off. I woke up in the middle of the night both times to restart which it would run for another 20-30 minutes and then shut off. The low oil light would turn on. I checked the oil. It was full. After checking the oil it would then run as normal. Oil levels were not an issue as it was checked and filled before initial operation. This is by far the smallest and cheapest dual fuel generator on Amazon. That being said, you get what you pay for. For home use or for short periods of times, this is great. If planning to use for an emergency situation or for overnight, plan to wake up and diagnose a non-issue to keep it running.

Very nice basic generator.

I have not had a chance to put it to a full test. However, it worked great on LP gas. So far, I would recommend this for the price. I may add more to this review when I get a chance to use it for a longer Period. The build quality seems very good on this unit. It is very basic, but it does not have an hour meter. However I purchased one & it was easy to install…

Bad out of box but fixed it myself

Product would not start, followed the instructions twice, called Pulsar customer support who sent me a video to check spark. No spark. Requested a return from Amazon. Had a mechanic look at it and it was determined the float was stuck in the cutoff position preventing the generator to start or run. Freed the float, works OK now. Not good QC from the factory.

Weight Incorrect
Style: 2700W Dual Fuel + CO Alarm
Weight is more than 40 pounds, not 35. Instructions for LP say choke pulled all out, never would crank. Next day with choke halfway it cranked (summertime). Full choke is probably for cooler weather. Not planning on running for 5-6 hours straight, (quit working complaints) only enough to charge power stations (2-4 hours). Satisfied with $300 purchase if it will crank in winter (change oil to 5W-30 before winter).

Mistakes were made
Style: 2700W Dual Fuel + CO Alarm
I was debating between this and a larger model but the weight savings here with this slightly smaller generator were just too good to pass up. It's listed at 35 lb which me. Just got it today and the dry weight is 45 lb. If I would have known it was this heavy I would have just purchased the next model up. And this is not a product that can be sent back. So I'm left with something that I really can't use because it is listed with incorrect statistics for size and weight.
