I've been eyeing this platform bed for awhile but decided to explore local options. Picked out a bed I loved that was very similar to this one but at $900. Couldn't stomach the price, especially with it being 'faux wood', so I left the store and ordered this bed. I am extremely impressed. Real wood? For $192?! A steal! Our package was severely damaged on arrival; you could literally see the headboard because the cardboard and protective liner was ripped, but nonetheless, the bed itself wasn't damaged. As far as assembly, it was easy but time consuming. Took about an hour. Nothing too complicated. We are missing one screw but made do without it. This is actually the third bed that I ordered. I had placed an order with Wayfair but they canceled it than I ordered from Overstock but they canceled it so I turned to Amazon but I had never purchased furniture from them and was kind of worried. I read all of the reviews and made sure to look at all the pictures related before I purchased. When the box arrived it was narrow but I was quickly surprised when I opened the box and found the headboard and on the back the zipper that held all the extra pieces neatly together inside. I removed all the contents and did a quick inventory and all pieces were accounted for. The main instructions were in the box under the headboard. As for assembly, it's pretty easy but I gave 4 stars to assembly because the pieces weren't labeled and I had to use common sense and picture matching but once I laid them out it was pretty easy. I bought a king and you definitely need a box spring for this bed but they fit snuggly inside the frame and it was very stable. It's even cat-approved! ... show more

    • Big gapping spaces on both sides of bed frame and too short to accomodate a standard King Size.
This item was the poorest item I have ever purchased. I knew the price indicated it wasn't quality furniture, however it doesn't come close to fitting a standard king size bed. There are a minimum of 5 inches gap space on either side of the bed as it is too wide and too short to fit the mattress properly. I am exceptionally displeased and am out more money as I paid a qualified person to assemble it to assure it was done properly. 3 other people have looked at it and confirmed it is to say the least ill made and measurements do not come close to accommodating a King box spring and mattress. So far it’s oaky, I haven’t slept on it yet. It was some what easy to put together, I did it myself. For some reason one of the sides are kind of bent inwards which is super annoying when I went to add the wood slats. Idk if it’s because how I assembled it or how it came. It was definitely worth the price. It came in 2 days. No smell, it looks exactly like the picture. We just have a memory foam mattress on it and it’s kind slow so we’re going to add a box spring or a board to it. But overall I recommend, will be doing an update later on ... show more

Beautiful!!! We can’t believe it’s only $185. It doesn’t feel sturdy though when we put our 14” memory foam on it, so we are planning to put a 1/4-1/2” plyboard on the bottom to make it feel firmer because there’s only 4 slats holding our mattress. But we don’t have complain because it’s so beautiful. ... show more

You need a box spring for this bed, it is not sturdy enough to hold just a mattress. But once I added the box spring the bed was great! Very easy to assemble.

    • Great Bed For the Price
This bed is cute and affordable. We are only a couple of weeks in, but so far it has been sturdy. Between my husband and I, we weigh close to 400 pounds and I don't feel like the bed is going to fall apart on us, especially when we are "doing the laundry." I do wish it came with more support beams that go across the bed frame to hold the box spring and mattress but you could add your own if necessary. I have a feeling as time goes on the bed will get a little loose and become squeaky but for now I love this bed. ... show more

I never add a picture for my reviews, this bed is just beautiful, took a little time to figure the parts but once you figure it out take no time to put it together. The quality is excellent and its sturdy. I thought as putting it together that is was going to be really low to the ground I recommend regular box springs for sure if you don't want to be to low.
