When I picked these up they were $11.99 and were an inexpensive way to rejuvenate my old PS4 controllers. I have two older controllers, one lasted 3-4 hours and one was down to about 2. Nothing's worse than being deep in enemy territory, almost discovered, the enemy approacheth, and boom the controller dies and so does my game character and a small piece of my soul. As a test I replaced my only-two-hour controller with one of these batteries and easily went 3 hours with no problem. PS4 doesn't give much of a granular battery meter (3 bars is full, etc.), but after 3 hours it showed 2 of 3 bars were left, a vast improvement over the dying stock battery. I put it on charge and later played another 3 hours, same result. I noticed the stock battery was listed at 1000mAh and these are 2000mAh. I haven't pushed the battery to its limits but I think I had a 4 hour+ play session and the battery held out no problem. These batteries come with a screwdriver and a small plastic pry lever for the controller, but no instructions. I can't stress this enough: Watch this process on Youtube all the way through before attempting to replace your PS4 controller batteries yourself. They have a few screws to remove but you still have to carefully pry the top and bottom pieces apart, and don't force it as things can break. Also the springs for the L2 and R2 buttons are very small, delicate, and precariously placed and getting those back in the right place is tricky especially if you've got larger hands (some skinny needle nose pliers are helpful here). Also, these batteries have two plugs, you only need one for the PS4 controller but there is plenty of room inside the controller to route the extra plug out of the way. But overall as long as you're careful the battery is not hard to swap, and so far these batteries are preforming well.

These off brand PS4 replacement batteries seem a nice option! They came with a nice little screwdriver and spudger (a plastic stick which did break when using force, oh well) for installation. They fit perfectly in our PS4 controllers and have been used for a few weeks now with no issues. I would highly recommend them as a replacement when your original PS4 batteries give out, as they hold a charge and work just fine with PS4 wireless controllers.

These batteries were a perfect fit for my controllers — and actually a better fit than the undersized battery that was in a third-party controller I've been using. I was pleased to see that they came with a a plastic prybar for opening the controller case and a good-quality Phillips head screw driver perfectly sized for the four screws on the backs of the controllers. Note that these batteries fit the battery tray snugly, and be sure to match the clipped end on one corner of the battery to the base or it won't fit. There were no installation instructions, which I didn't expect given that they will fit 11 different models of controllers. But I went online to ifixit and followed the instructions and had replaced both batteries in under 15 minutes. I prefer to keep my stuff working rather than fill up a landfill with plastic and electronics, so to me, getting two controllers back to new condition — with 2x the battery life of the original — for $12 seems like a great deal. ... My biggest question was whether it would fit in my aftermarket budget controller, and it did. So, are they really double-capacity? Well, my old controllers' batteries were so weak that I'm going to have a hard time evaluating battery life on these, but they're rockin' compared to the approximately 2 hours I was getting on my other ones. These are marked 2000mAh versus the 1000mAh on my original controller and the pathetic 800mAh on my budget model. Gotta say, I'm quite pleased.
