  • Bought "Used" works great
Style: Overdrive Pedal
This pedal is great! I got it from the Amazon "used - like new" thing. It said the box "shows moderate signs of wear" something like that. Eh, yeah some of the edges around the box are a little bit fuzzy. But I wouldn't say this was "moderate" sure if you insist. The pedal doesn't have any signs of wear on it, that I can tell. The back cover doesn't even have scuffs on it. Still has all the paper materials and stickers inside too. People online say the face design is terrible.. It's simple, not gawdy, IDK I like it. Not wild like EVH pedals. For an overdrive pedal, yeah its on the pricey side of the available options out there. But I do like having a little more control with extra knobs other pedals don't give you. The distortion effect seems clean. It doesn't seem to mind the input from my PRS SE 277 baritone. The Bass and Treble control is very helpful keeping the bass in the mix. The "Voice" knob's effect on tone kinda reminds me of how a Tone pod works on a guitar. Which is not useful at all when my guitar already has one. BUT if you have a guitar that doesn't have a Tone knob, maybe you'd find a good use for it! I've been using my ZOOM G1 (old model), and it'd doesn't much care for the baritone sound. Some effects cut in and out. The Horsemeat is more narrow than my ZOOM G1, and just a bit taller. Not a problem. PRS says, no it is NOT a Klon clone, but it is inspired by the Klon's design. I don't have a Klon, never heard of it until yesterday, so can't say I care if it's a clone or not. If PRS says it isn't, good enough for me <thumbs up> whatever ... show more

  • Magical
Style: Compressor Pedal
This magic box will make your rig sing. A very famous studio session guy touted this pedal on YouTube in an unsponsored video, just gushing about it. So I figured, what the hell… let’s try it despite the bad reviews here. I’m so glad I did. I truly think the other reviewers just did not understand what this pedal is or how to use it. I will say, I have to dial in “my” sweat spot, which is different for literally all my guitars. I’m playing through the same am - different guitars, but I bet it would require adjustment to really match up with each amp input too. So you’re going to have to twist the knobs. But when you get it dialed in… wow! Tone just appears like magic and the dynamic range is “managed” nicely - delivering a really, really nicely recorded sound that will be a breeze to mix into the track. ... show more

Good versatile pedal! I’ll take a Tumnus + Blues Driver over it.

  • Bought this through the Amazon warehouse, used like new. Kudos to Amazon, as described.
Style: Overdrive Pedal
I've used this pedal for two days but works perfectly. This isn't a pedal with all kinds of effects, after all it's called a transparent overdrive, but what it does it does great' clarity, dynamic range it really enhances what comes out of the amp. Without it is like listening with earmuffs on, press the button and instant clarity. Love it. ... show more
