This splitter is phenomenal! Usually I'll split wood by hand during the year for winter, but after hurricane Helene we had a lot of downed trees on our property and it would be too much, especially as trees were still green. Did my research and settled on this one, so glad I did. It is solid. Quiet. Friends gave me a hard time saying an electric log splitter was a toy, until they saw what we accomplished. No gas/oil to mess with. It will split 20"x10". Working with two people you can make some quick work of a big pile of logs. My wife has really enjoyed working the splitter as it's quiet and relatively safe, which is something we can do together. Great sense of satisfaction seeing the stacked cords of wood after just a few hours.

It has done a great job splitting firewood. I've split fresh cut cedar with knots and it got it done. Handled seasoned oak like a champ. It is an electric splitter, so it can't do what 10 ton gas splitters can do, but it does great for electric. It handled 13" across. But the only thing that's not good, is the 4way splitter head. It did not work well. But worth the price and time.

Unbelievable !!!!!!! WHAT A MONSTER PIECE OF EQUIPMENT! Read the instructions, all parts were there and very heavy. 2 people split a cord of fresh cut eucalyptus in 4 hours. Most of the wood was at least 2 feet across and 18”long. Even tore through some knots. Makes very little noise. Totally worth the price! Don’t forget to open the air release valve at the front ( looks like a propeller) . Take breaks and let the motor cool off.

I picked this electric splitter because it comes with a stand. I'm about 6' and find the working height very comfortable. The shipping was fast and assembly only took me about 45 minutes to do by myself. I didn't have a helper available but would recommend other to have a second person to help lift it on the stand during assembly. The operation of the splitter is better than I imagined. I used it the first day to split American Elm which is a very stringy wood and known to be one of the toughest to split. This thing split those rounds (one was about 16" diameter) without any struggle. I'm also very impressed by the build quality. I do plan to build a small outfeed table to help stage the larger logs and help make the overall resplitting process more efficient. I would but this again!

For a Homeowner with limited duty this little splitter is very good. While this is a compact unit for storage and moving around - it is heavy! I see some people mounting this on a small wagon and towing to the site they want to split wood at. If you are on flat terrain, not a big deal to move around for most, on hilly terrain, the small wheels make it a pain in the a$$. That being said, I like it, and it works well for my needs. As I trim trees on my property I cut the limbs and trunks to be split for firewood. Things I plan to change/modify. Bigger Wheels - or mount on a small wagon I will probably mount a better "lift and pull/tow" extended tow bar on the front, or mount on a small wagon for easier mobility. Will probably add a 2" shim to the pusher to get a more complete split on the tough logs.
