The knob can control the movement of the thrust plate from going forwards and backwards in order to control the cutting distance of the log. The Electric Log Splitter is powered by a 2700W electric motor,split logs up to 10" in diameter and up to 20.5" long. The sturdy transport wheels allow for smooth maneuvering,it can make your job easier. Is this one hand or 2 hand operation? You'd better operate safely with both hands. Is there an adjustment to get the ram closer? It equipped with ram stop ring for shorter logs that need spliting. Do I have to buy hydraulic oil before using it? It comes filled with hydraulic oil.     • Very impressive 120v electric splitter!
I picked this electric splitter because it comes with a stand. I'm about 6' and find the working height very comfortable. The shipping was fast and assembly only took me about 45 minutes to do by myself. I didn't have a helper available but would recommend other to have a second person to help lift it on the stand during assembly. The operation of the splitter is better than I imagined. I used it the first day to split American Elm which is a very stringy wood and known to be one of the toughest to split. This thing split those rounds (one was about 16" diameter) without any struggle. I'm also very impressed by the build quality. I do plan to build a small outfeed table to help stage the larger logs and help make the overall resplitting process more efficient. I would but this again! ... show more

    • Great machine for the price!
Here are the reasons for losing a star: 1) the instructions were not great. We realized about half hour in if we just put the machine upside down it is significantly easier to install the stand. Also, the machine comes with a piece in the front you have to take off if you are using the stand, which wasn't hard, just kind of annoying. 2) the attachment to split into 4 pieces did not work on a single stump. 3) I think this could be due to the type of wood and its moisture level, but many of the pieces I had to manually finish pulling apart 4) it would have been better if the part that pushed forward went further forward. This caused me having to run some pieces through twice, and then still manually pulling them apart. 5) It is slow when you have a lot of wood to handle, but I seem to recall the speed being similar to bigger units. 6) the safety feature of having to use both hands to use it is a nice feature, but there are times I need to adjust the log as it was going along so it split better, but I could not. Having said all that, this is great device and well worth the price. ... show more

Works very well. Even gets threw knots. And I have small hands and I am able to hold down the hydraulic lever and power button with 1 hand so I can hold log with my right hand. Pinky holds leverage thump pushs button.

Splitter works great. I had one little problem with a small plastic piece and it was replaced without any problems. For a 6.5 ton splitter, you can't ask for a better splitter and the service department is awesome. Thanks Proyama.

    • This is a Game Changer !!
First i want to say, I've been splitting my own fire wood for 10 years. Bought my first log splitter from Amazon in 2016. The 7 Ton log splitter never gave me a problem. But splitting so much wood over the years, I thought it was time to upgrade with a new Machine. After reading all reviews on several different machines, I chose the Proyama 6.5 Ton Electric Log Splitter with Stand. For the reasons 1, Price was right, 2 it came with a stand, 3 you had the Ram lock, and 4 you threw in the cross wedge. I could of went with a cheaper one, but buying the wedge on its own was more money. SOLD ! I got to tell you i ordered it Monday 19 May 2025. And i was really impressed how fast i received it. Opened it up and assembled it Saturday 24 May 2025, It is recomended to have two people to put it together, I did it by myself in about A HALF HOUR. Eazy! Unboxing it i noticed it was well packaged. Checked the fluid level with the included Allen Key ( Came All Filled ) Plugged it in, purged the air in the system ( NON WAS FOUND ) Started splitting a fresh maple tree that i had delivered. They tell you this machine splits upto 10" I have to tell you, i've split upto 15" log rounds without any issues! The only issue I do have is after 3 Hours of splitting the Lock ring for the ram lock would not stay tight. Went to the local Hardware store and just purchased a 8x1.25 bolt. Using the Cross wedge, is a breeze to split in 4 , And that was the Whole reason i went with this instead of the Built Hard for almost $40.00 Less.
