I ordered this primarily to use as a range bag for handgun use. The usable inside width of the main compartment was just 3". It appeared from online description and photos that it would be roomier inside. Another slight disappointment is that the shoulder strap is not detachable and the shoulder padding was just adequate. The quality of nylon material used is quite nice and all zippers functioned fine. The material is thick and seems made to take some abuse. As a messenger bag this is probably overkill due to material thickness used, and not sufficient due to lack of interior space. For my application it has worked out fine though. ... show more
