  • ITS PERFECT!!!
Style: Hard Shell Case
This case is great. It’s lightweight but sturdy and protects our Bari sax. Worth the price!!

  • Suck it up and buy it.
Style: Hard Shell Case
This thing is quite sturdy and well-made. I carry it on my back regularly to gigs. Backpack straps were well worth the extra $15. I have a low Bb bari, so there is plenty of space on the inside to stick my sax stand, low A extension, millions of reeds (okay, maybe just hundreds), and shoulder harness. The front pocket - on the lid - is the perfect size to put my Yamaha pochette clarinet case in. The back pocket is big enough for sheet music but not a binder. This thing will last for ages. ... show more

  • A great value for the money
Style: Hard Shell Case
I was hesitant to buy this case from reading the reviews. But this is a great case. I prefer a full zipper versus clasps. There is no chance of the case opening and the horn fall out. My other case has 3 latches. The case will protect your horn. It is solid. I am not talking about putting on a plane, but for gigging, it will work great. I bought it for a Armstrong bari, which fits great, but it also will hold my Keilwerth SX-90. I like the case so much that I swapped the Keilwerth to it. I have a pro-tec for my tenor. I have used it for about 15 years, the strap lost a rivet, so I put a screw in the case and it works fine. I am more than pleased with the purchase. It is a solid case and a great value for the money. ... show more

  • An amazing case with protection
Style: Hard Shell Case
I use this case for my low A bari sax. I use a St 90 Julius Keilsworth. I would say that it wiggles a little bit around the neck area but not much to cause any major damage. It pretty much fits any standard low A bari. Could be more loose for Low Bb but can't confirm that. It is a perfect fit for low A ones Recommend for those that can't afford the high cost case that run from 500 to 900 dollars ... show more

  • Exceptional case with good protection
Style: Hard Shell Case
The used Baritone sax I bought came with an old case that smelled of mildew. The Protec case was recommended by my Sax technician and it's worth the money. The neck/mouthpiece holder fits inside the bell of the sax and was surprisingly well designed. Exterior compartment has plenty of room for sheet music (without folding it), reeds, cork wax, neck strap, water bottle, etc. All said, I wouldn't trust the airlines (baggage) with my horn in this case. I'd want a hard-shell case before I did that. Also, it fits in the small trunk of a BMW 135i convertible!!! Detailed listing should state exact dimensions. ... show more

  • A good case for my old Bb bari
Style: Hard Shell Case
I got this to replace the old simple gig bag I've carried my ancient Bb Martin bari in for 40+ years. The case is made to also fit a low A bari, so there is some extra space where the low end would extend. But from what I see, it fits my Bb bari well. The little padded sleeve for a mouthpiece and neck is odd. It's open on one end, so you have to be careful how you position it in the case or things will drop out if jostled. I use a different sleeve for the mouthpiece and use the one that came with the case as extra padding where needed. It's not a super hard case, I would not check it on a plane. The flip side is that it's not too heavy. Bari cases are always a bit unwieldy, it comes with the territory. This case does a reasonable job for a very reasonable price. ... show more

  • Nice case.
Style: Hard Shell Case
Very nice compact case for even a LOW A Conn. I am happy with it. A small amount of in case storage for reeds and such too.

  • Superior
Style: Hard Shell Case
It protected my old Bundy well during marching band. The old wood case was falling apart so I needed to get a case that wasn't going to cost $1,000, with that much money, I could sooner buy another instrument. The shoulder strap made it easier to haul around and the instrument sustained no damage getting shoved into a trailer to go to band contests almost every Saturday A very good case at a good price. ... show more
