It's okay. If you're looking for a portable radio to play AM/FM you'll be fine. If you're looking for a portable radio to play CDs I would skip this all entirely. Any minor scratches on a CD it will skip,jump or not play at all. It is also very loud sopinning, when you get a CD to play.

two complaints. this particular cd radio/cd player series has no earphone jack. no instruction booklet provided. i bought this through amazon warehouse. everything else about it is good. sound, radio and cd player. be advised. look for ear phone option when buying proscan brand. don't assume there is one. if its not listed or shown in picture ad if doesn't have one. amazon warehouse good way to save money. just remember that instruction booklets may not be included as its a return. i didn't realize this. fyi.if earphones important to you do not buy this particular model ... show more

This is a cheap CD player so don’t expect greatness. It makes a loud noise when the cd spins that is louder than the sleep music I am playing for my kids so it is distracting and disturbing. The noise started happening after the second month of purchasing it, so I was unable to return it. It still works, it’s just a loud annoying noise that over takes the sound of the music. So if you need it for something where you can turn the music up to avoid listening to that, then get it. If you need it for something where a low level of noise is required, I would not waist my money, because you will end up like me, buying a different brand afterwards. ... show more

I personally think it’s wonderful for the price, but it sounds a bit muffled. You could definitely do better for a cd player but if you just need something to play sounds at you, definitely get this
