  • I have 2
Material Type: 120,000 BTU (Indoor) Style: Propane
This is the 2nd time I've purchased this for 2 different homes it works great

  • Replaced two 50 Gallon Tank Water Heaters with this unit.
This unit allows me to run two showers at the same time at 120 degrees of hot water without a time limit. It was easy to install, however if you buy the service valves and pressure relief valve be sure to use pipe dope and about three wraps of PTFE tape to prevent leakage if you DIY. I used the same vent pipe that was used by the previous hot water tanks. After you install, allow water to run through the unit until all of the air is out of the water pipes before connecting to AC. Once connected to AC hit the power button on the face of the panel and turn the water on at a facet. you will see the temp come up. then use the up or down arrows to set the temp you want. I hope this helps. I recommend this product. ... show more

  • Know what you are doing!
Material Type: 90,000 BTU (Indoor) Style: Natural Gas
Okay to start off this tankless heater works AMAZING! It’s only been a couple days so far but coming from the previous tankless water heater we were using this one is 100x better. The water pressure is better. The heat control and temperature is better. Almost hotter than a conventional water heater. It saves so much space in our house because it’s one thing we lack in ours, space. It’s great so far. My husband installed it and needed extra materials to complete the installation like a vent pipe which was like $50, $50 in shark bites. It may be a little costly needed materials to complete the installation but if you’re looking to go tankless this would be the way to go. You also need to make sure the heater is strong and powerful enough to support how much water your house will use. We only have kitchen one bathroom and washer. So we aren’t covering a large surface for water usage. You need at least the 90,000 BTU if you want hot water like a conventional water heater. These are great investments if you know what you’re doing or don’t mind paying someone to do but that will make it even more costly. Overall it was a worthy purchase. And quality equipment. ... show more

  • Not dependable!
Material Type: 120,000 BTU (Indoor) Style: Propane
Really wish I could give this a good review but gotta be real! I bought this unit 9 months ago and have had issues with the water staying hot since day one. The water goes cold approximately 3-5 times during a shower. I have to turn hot water valve off, wait a few minutes then turn it back on and wait for the water to warm to proceed with my shower. After a few minutes water starts getting cold and have to repeat. I have had the propane supply checked - not an issue! Since I installed the unit myself I had a plumber come check it out and all is good with installation and connections! I cannot begin to tell you how aggravating it is to have a head full of soap and have the water turn cold!!! This is very disappointing since all the research I did lead me to believe this would be a good purchase. ... show more

  • So Far, So Good
I've had this installed for a couple of months now and it is working fine. We had one power outage and I had to go out and touch the touch screen to get it to come back on but other than that it has worked without a hitch. Installing it was easy. It hung on 2 screws with a supplied template, then I added two at the bottom. Literally just connect the incoming cold water, outgoing hot water, and the gas line, and plug in the electrical cord. All were already there as this was a replacement. If you are going from a tank type to this, you might need additional piping or adapters but for me, all the existing pieces connected so there was no looking around for parts or trips to the hardware store. This is an indoor unit so it connects to a flue (or needs a flue) and I did replace the elbow that connected to the flue as my old one was rusty but it was a typical size and was no issue. ... show more

  • I like it!
It's the first shower I ever took that I didn't have to keep adjusting the hot water! Our house is three adults who are never awake at the same time, so it should have no trouble keeping up with demand. Really, my only immediate criticism is the supplied mounting screws (a couple of panheads just slightly larger than drywall screws). I opted for something a bit more confidence inspiring. Other than that, it's a nice unit. It's as easy to install as any other plumbing device (don't ever let anyone tell you THAT isn't a pain in the *** -- but it's not the machine's fault). Oh, and it's also our first water heater that didn't require two guys and a hand truck. That's always a bonus! Let's just hope it lasts longer than my last tank (which was only four years). ... show more

  • Noisy and very slow to start when you turn on the hot water tap
Material Type: 90,000 BTU (Indoor) Style: Propane
We bought this unit basically as a temporary heater until we can fully renovate our house. Having used Bosch and Rinnai tankless heaters in the past, we thought we knew what to expect from even a basic unit like this but we were mistaken. When you turn on the hot water, the unit takes takes 3 seconds to notice and then ignite. That may not sound like a lot, but compared to the other units we've used it's an eternity and it means a lot of wasted water. The unit is also much noisier than we expected. The burner and the exhaust fan make noise while running and while that's to be expected, it is more than the other units we've used. But the real issue is when you turn the hot water off and the unit stops. Other units will keep running the exhaust fan as well, but they just continue at the same speed and you don't really notice. On this unit, the fan speeds up when the unit shuts down and the increase in noise and pitch is jarring. That may not be a problem if you install the unit in a basement or utility room, but it's annoying if installed in an area people use regularly. The instructions also seem to have been somewhat poorly translated from another language. That wasn't an issue for us as we've installed two other tankless units and knew what to expect, but if this is your first install, it could add some challenge. It's not a bad unit, but for not that much more you can get a Rinnai V65iP which will provide more water and do it better. ... show more
