I’m not typically the person who writes reviews or gives 5s for reviews but I have to say this is growing to be my favorite piece of gym equipment. I did a lot of research on countless compact treadmills and this one caught my interest a couple months prior to purchasing. I did have to buy it elsewhere because at the time it was temporarily out of stock on Amazon. I learned a lot about it (even how to turn it on without activating iFit) before considering it. I am looking forward to trying the free trial though. A world record assembling this in comparison to everything I built for my home gym (literally 5min). This machine’s build quality is sturdy and belt motor is solid. Was pleasantly surprised that the tablet holder fit my 12.9” iPad Pro! For floor protection and the protection from the wrath of my downstairs neighbors I picked up a floor mat and rubber pads as well. I purchased this through the ProForm website but they don't answer customer service emails so I think this is the only way to get their attention. The item arrived quickly and it works fine currently but there are some quality control issues that make me doubt the longevity and durability of the whole product. It folds, but you're not really going to be able to store it anywhere or under furniture because the top is bulky. The electrical cord arrived folded and covered in a sticky white substance which might have been the packing foam spray. It won't come off. The tablet holder had a screw that completely broke out of the box. Customer service doesn't respond to multiple emails when I ask if I can return the equipment mat part of the order and there is a $250 return fee if your equipment breaks or you want to return it, which indicates to me that this company doesn't stand behind their product. If I could do it again I would go with a more reputable company that answers their customer service email. ... show more

The City L6 treadmill came to my house broken directly from Proform/Icon Fitness/Nordic Track. It did not even work for 30 seconds before jolting to a stop almost causing me to dislocate my knee. It’s loud, my feet kept banging against the front panel and it’s very heavy for a compact treadmill (my original cheap treadmill was actually better than this one and they gave me an immediate refund after it stopped working). Most of the customer service representatives were not empathetic, I had to get on my knee that was in pain after the treadmill stopped working to unscrew the lid of the treadmill (to also find out the lid was cracked and there was a cracked screw just rattling around the bottom of the treadmill that could have eventually caused further damage and I probably would have been outside of my warranty). Speaking of the warranty, the website says there is a 10 year warranty with the treadmill, but once you receive it they try to get you to buy all these additional warranties, that makes you think if you actually got the warranty that they advertised if worst comes to worst. After the first customer service person determined that it was a manufacturer issue and I found all these broken parts under the hood, I immediately asked for a refund. First, he said the system showed I received the treadmill on the day I purchased it, but the website says that it can take almost a month to be shipped to your house. He accused me of having this treadmill for 10 days, when I had to clarify that I had it for less than 24 hours. He transferred me to Whitney in the Refunds Department and she threatened to charge me $250 to return a treadmill that was shipped to me broken directly from the company. I was heartbroken and she smacked her teeth on the phone, sighed very rudely like I was wasting her time, then yelled at me that Customer Service would give me a full refund, showing no empathy over the fact I spent my entire savings to get healthy only to be disappointed. After yelling she abruptly transferred me to Henry in customer service who said that Whitney lied to get me off the phone, because the only options he gave me was to pay $250 to return their broken treadmill back to them or have them fix it to manufacturer standards by waiting 2 more weeks for the parts to be shipped and for a technician to come to my house to fix said parts. To not lose my money and because Henry showed no kindness or empathy either, I had to give in and ask him to order the parts. He made me send him the same pictures and information I sent to the first customer service person and determined it was the same issue. With an ounce of hope in my heart I asked to be transferred to Refunds once more. I was transferred and I just explained my knee hurts from the broken equipment stopping abruptly, my heart hurts from the lack of understanding and empathy that I had this treadmill for less than 1 day and I could not even use it for 30 seconds and my wallet hurts because I work so hard for my money and I was fully disappointed by this expensive compact treadmill, that I later found on another website so much cheaper. She understood my pain and she took the time to reach out to her supervisor to see what could be done and by the grace of God, she offered to issue me a full refund. This woman was an angel sent from heaven because she was patient and polite and understanding in a world where her coworkers were the exact opposite. I will be writing the company with an official commendation for this employee, because she handled the situation exactly as it should be handled. Even if they fixed the treadmill, I would not have been able to use it because the abrupt stopping motion of the broken treadmill caused pain in my knee. I do not recommend this treadmill to anyone EVER! Please save your money and run in place inside and exercise outside when it’s nice out. Sidebar/Side note: I tried out iFit and I do not think this app is worth the money they charge a year at all. Although they filmed workouts in all of these nice locations, it made me appreciate my other Fitness membership and the fun and intense exercises I get from their Fitness studio. ... show more
