    • Fits perfectly
I converted my 76 SBC to a short water pump and pulley set. This timing tab is needed to replicate the one fitted to short pump engines. This item is beautifully made and fits perfectly, of course you do need to create a new mark on the harmonic balancer.

    • Looks great but pay attention to your original cover.
It looks great and fit fine BUT pay attention to your original timing cover. I failed to do this until after I couldn't get my motor running. I realized my 305 timed at 12:00 and this set is made for a motor that times at 2:00. Once I figured that mess out I found zero using valves, tdc, and distributor then just made my own zero mark on the harmonic balancer. Hi i try to install the product on my 1977 gmc truck w/350 small block but unfortunately it doesn't fit because my armonica is 8 inches so I know is my fault this is just a comment.

I’ve put this on a SBC 383 with a cast aluminum timing chain cover. In order to get it to fit with this cover, I did have to open one of the bold holes slightly. The aluminum cover is thicker. Also, I needed to Ben it slightly to get it straight once in place and tightened down. I don’t fault the mfg as this is probably intended for a thinner steel timing chain cover.
