There was a big bubble in the laser receiver lens. It appears to be made of plastic. Quality control must be nonexistent. I initiated a return (replacement) through Amazon. The second one looked fine. I went outside and compared them side by side, measuring slope and distance from 10-550 yards. Interestingly they read within 0.1 yards of one another, and the same angle on all readings. Hopefully it lasts longer than some of the reviews stated. ... show more

Bought this for my husband who’s always wanting to know the distance to the pin. He used it today for the first time and loved it! If he could figure it out, it must’ve been easy to use. Worked great for approx. 2 years. Now when I try to scan a distance I get a reading like 6.7 y when it is like 50 yards. About the same read out when it was about 170 yards. Between 5.8 and 6.8 for all distances. I had pressed the mode button quite a few times with no results. Haven't found any answers to this. I have no clue what 5.7 y would mean, certainly not meters? ... show more

Update 8/6/23: jane from profry responded to my email and sent me a replacement range finder. I updated my star rating to 3 stars, i got help only after giving profey a bad rating. They also promised me the upgraded range finder but received the exact same one, which is okay. Don’t promise something and don’t deliver. I purchased it in oct, had it 9 months, the first 3 to 4 months it worked flawlessly. All of a sudden it would not get accurate ranges. Then last week it stopped working altogether. The unit is on and shows the lighting bolt when trying to find the target but no results. Contacted profey and have not been able to get a response. The website is not working and no answers on the phone. I would not recommend this product. Feels like they are dodging me. I’m going with brand name on next purchase. ... show more

I have used this for multiple rounds now. I put it to the test with my buddies more expensive one. It was right on the money with his. Slope on it is a great feature and the magnet holds well when driving in the golf cart. I recommend this one for sure.
