  • Right tool for the job (for me)
If you were like me, then you are here because you need a wireless mic. My use case is likely an edge case, and I will provide you the details of my experience with two of these microphones so far: My requirements are that I need to be able to record for about 18 hours a day, roughly continuously. I say “roughly” because it is fine if there is a gap in between the time it takes to swap out microphones. I bought two of these microphones so that I could have one active while the other charged. This system works well, albeit, without any redundancy. That being said, below is my practical experience: I bought one mic in mid January 2023 and another a week or so afterward. These mics have been in constant use, as I described above, since their purchase. That is not hyperbole. On both mics, I have consistently obtained about 4 hours and 15 minutes constant on and recording time. I have sometimes obtained about 4 hours and 45 minutes (this is the max I have ever obtained on a charge). I always get at least 4 hours of charge. The way I do it is that when the mic dies, I remove the receiver and I charge both the receiver and the mic at the same time and then swap in the other mic/receiver pair that I have. I have found that it takes about 75 to 90 minutes to fully charge the mic; and the receiver will charge faster than the mic, taking about 60 minutes to charge. In my experience, it appears that the mic will die before the receiver does. As others have noted, there is no audible or visual indicator on the mic itself that it has died. Your only clue that the mic has died is the silence that ensues - or - the blinking light on the receiver. The mic itself does have a small light on it - and unless you’re totally focused on it, you’ll never really know if it is on or off. The sound quality of the recordings have been good - background noise has been canceled well and the voices are really the main things that comes through - pretty clearly. That being said, these mics ARE quiet. For this particular use case, this is not an issue; although I imagine for most others, this is a major consideration. I use audio software where I can see the sound waves of the mic - so I know for sure it is recording and it is not - and I mention this to also impress upon you that I have paid attention to all of these details. This display sits off to the side of me - and I see it run, constantly. The mics are used as they would be by anyone else: they’re attached to a shirt and someone is talking - in my case - they’re used *a lot*. One last note: One of these mics did finally stop working the other day, hence why I am back to this page on Amazon (and I felt inspired to write a review). The mic that died (and it is the mic, not the receiver) is the one that I bought first. I do not know if this is a harbinger of things to come for the second mic. I suppose I may know that in about a week's time. In case anyone is interested, the issue with the mic that died occurred like this: one night it was charging, and never appeared to fully charge (the charging light remained on all night). I let the mic fully discharge the next day (which took over 9 hours) - I was not using the mic during this time. Finally the light on the mic died. I charged it up again, and it appeared fine. Once I started using it though, the mic only lasted a couple of minutes and died. It simply does not hold a charge any more. 2023-05-06 UPDATE: Both of the mics that I have are still working. This means that one of the very original ones that I purchased back in January is still going, and the one I purchased back at the beginning of March is also still going. Perhaps I drew a bit of a shorter straw on the one mic that died. :) ... show more

  • Good quality microphone for the cost.
Generally the microphone was well constructed, easy to use, and worked well for my use. I used this in connection with a DSLR camera and it captured high quality audio. The only two areas of improvement for me would be it didn’t make sense that the indicator LED was on the front of the mic (I covered it with a small piece of tape to hide it on video) and that the lapel clip was fixed rather than rotating. These weren’t huge issues and for the cost and quality of the product overall wouldn’t impact my review. ... show more

  • Fair quality for the price I paid
The sound is loud and clear enough for the Zoom meetings I lead. The battery is good for probably 3 hours. The sessions I have are 2 hours long and, when I forget to fully recharge the mic and the receiver, it probably lasts for about one more hour. It seems that the one that dies first is the mic. Also, the receiver recharges quicker than the mic (probably because it still has some charge). The clip on the mic is not very strong and, be careful because it can actually slide-off the mic itself. It is completely plug and play if used on a PC, the mic and receiver pair automatically every time as soon as you turn them on. ... show more

  • Great starter mic for social media
I purchased this mic as a cordless option for making instagram videos for my small business. It was a great price and has clear sound quality even though it is small and light. Very easy to use its just plug and play.

  • When it works, it's great!
The problem is when it doesn't work. I always do a test video to make sure everything is sync'd up. After I view it, I do my last second primp of hair with the camera and start recording. 85% of the time, it's fine. I've had a few times where I've recorded only to find out there was no audio (a one-man show can't host AND try to follow the audio bars the entire time). I thought it could have been some weird communication between OBS & the mic that it decided to turn off because it wasn't recording. I shrugged it off to tell myself to make sure I'm checking the audio bars when I start. Then, today happened. In mid-word, the mic decided to shut down. I can't find a reason. The receiver is appropriately plugged in and had power. The mic had power (it powered right up afterwards). It just cut off. It's easy to use. I like the sound quality. You just need to make sure the audio continues to work if you're recording. Heaven knows what would happen if I actually streamed.... Maybe I'll have to invest in silent movie cards :D ... show more

  • Worthless
Wasted 5 hours trying to get it to work as a microphone on my desktop computer. all troubleshooting forums talk about using Realtek drivers which were not pre loaded on my Dell Inspiron. trying to download that never worked completely either. Just sent me deeper into the black hole. However, plugged it in with the adapter pin into Canon D6 Mark ii DSLR and did a test video. Worked like a champ. i was impressed with the sound quality on play back with PC speaker system which is a high quality sound system plugged into the tower speaker port. Update: Poor instructions. comes with three cable. USB- A to USB-C is the only one that will charge the receiver and I assume the transmitter. I was trying to charge using the adapter cable which is C to C. My bad. but finally figured it out. ... show more
