    • Good beginner violin and includes everything you would want
purchased for a 10 year old girl. All parts were included as advertised. Sound is good. Violin construction appears solid, case is good, too. Arrived assembled and almost ready to play. Needed to rosin the bow, which took a few minutes. Then needed to tune. The included tuner is great. Pegs all work well, bridge is good, fine tuners all work well. Extra bridge, bow, and set of strings included. The only thing not included, and not yet needed, is peg paste. She has started playing on a 1/4 size violin, much too small for her. This will suit her well. ... show more

    • Wonderful Student Violin! Seriously Impressive Little Instrument 🎻

This violin seriously impressed me. I ordered it when it showed up in my RFY, as I believed a family member would love it, but was concerned that it might not be adequate given the budget price. However, I do know that mass produced instruments have only improved in quality over time, so I was extremely curious to test the item. It comes with so many accessories included for the price. I was shocked when I opened the case to find a clip-on electric tuner, with batteries included, not one but two sets of strings, bridges, rosin (large and small), two sets of fret-bord stickers with fingerings and notes clearly labelled, a decent horsehair bow, a rubber mute, a manual, and microfiber cloth. The case itself is also rather nice, with a little compartment for all the accessories. The voilin itself is beautiful, with gorgeous rich lacquer, nicely shaped body and a pleasant, warm tone that somehow avoids the sterotypical overly bright, annoying skreech that I immediately associate with student violins. (or in fact, any violin, lol) I play bass and prefer the low end, and so I was extremely surprised by the tonal warmth and depth that this instrument provided. I am honestly shocked by the loveliness of this, and would highly recommend it for anyone considering taking up violin. I can't speak to the durability, as I've only had it for a few days at this point, but as long as you look up online how to tune it, you should be fine. (start from the third string from the left and use the included tuner to get close to A, and use the pegs at the bottom to tune down to your desired tone. Then do the first from your left, second and fourth like so: DEGA.) The pegs are held by tension and while there was a little bit of slippage when I tested, I expect that this should resolve itself after a proper setup. Even if not, it doesn't noticeably interfere with play. For the price, it is an astonishing value. I can't thing of a better way to spend twenty bucks less than a Benjamin. Get it. One thing - I didn't care for the golden orange logo as it was quite prominent on the front of the case, so I covered it using a black Sharpie, which noticeably improved the overall look of the package. I would recommend doing so to anyone who cares about aesthetics. Ten out of five stars for this exceptional set! 🎻🌈 ... show more

    • Amazing student Violin
Color: Natural Light Orange Size: Full
This violin is a beautiful violin, from the case to the violin, to the bow! This is an amazing set for any beginner that is just starting out. It comes with EVERYTHING you need to start and learn to play. It has a hard molded case that has a velvet lining. It has Velcro straps to keep your violin securely in place. It has a zippered closure around the case, when unzip it allows you to keep the case open as well while preparing your instrument. It comes with a chin rest, rosin, tuner, book, fingerboard note stickers for correct finger placement, cleaning cloth. Nothing will need to be bought when purchasing this instrument for a beginner student. The pegs stay in place and don’t slip, allowing for light tuning before each play. This is great value! The sound is also beautiful as well. ... show more

    • Great!
Color: Natural Light Orange Size: Full
Overall Impression I recently purchased the La Sage adult-size violin for my teenage son, who plays first chair in his school band, and the overall experience has been very positive. It has proven to be a well-balanced instrument that meets the needs of an intermediate student while still feeling refined and reliable. Build Quality & Craftsmanship The violin is well-crafted with a smooth, attractive finish that gives it a polished and professional appearance. The overall construction feels solid and dependable, suggesting good attention to detail in its design. It presents itself as a quality instrument suitable for consistent practice and performance use. Sound Quality In terms of sound, the violin produces a clear and warm tone that works well for an intermediate-level player. It delivers a pleasing resonance that supports both practice sessions and school performances, making it a suitable step-up instrument for developing musicians. Comfort & Playability The adult size fits comfortably and allows for extended playing without causing strain. My son finds it easy to hold and control, which is important for longer practice sessions and performance settings. Overall, the ergonomics support smooth and confident playability. Included Accessories & Value The included accessories add significant value to the overall package. The bow and case are both of good quality, making this a more complete starter set. The case is particularly well-designed, featuring adequate padding for protection as well as additional compartments for storing essentials such as strings and a tuner, which is also included. Final Verdict Overall, the La Sage violin is an excellent choice for teenage or intermediate students who need a reliable, well-made instrument to support their musical development. With its solid construction, warm sound, and useful included accessories, it offers strong value and is highly recommended for student musicians. ... show more

A booklet is included that goes over care and maintenance, and in addition to things like extra strings, a tuner, rosin for maintaining the bow, there are also stickers for learning notes and just little nice add-ons that make this a great set for students and beginners without having to go down the rabbit hole of finding every essential component to playing and maintaining the instrument.
