This kit is pretty straightforward. You get a set of haircutting scissors along with a few useful combs: a fine-tooth comb, a wide-tooth comb, and a rat-tail parting comb. That's it. No gimmicks, no unnecessary extras, just the tools you're actually likely to use. For context, I already own a fair amount of grooming equipment. I've got beard trimmers, hair clippers, texture shears, and several different pairs of haircutting scissors. Because of that, I wasn't expecting much from this kit. I was wrong. The standout here is absolutely the scissors. The action is unbelievably smooth. Most scissors require at least some conscious effort to open and close, and you're always aware of the movement. These are different. The operation is so effortless that the scissors genuinely start to feel like an extension of your hand. In fact, they're almost a little intimidating because they're so smooth and so sharp that you need to pay attention to what you're doing. The blades are excellent. I tested them on my own hair and immediately discovered that any mistakes were entirely my fault, not the scissors'. They cut cleanly and easily with very little effort. The included combs are all useful additions and cover most of the basic needs for home haircuts, beard trimming, sectioning, and styling. Nothing flashy, just practical tools that do their job. The instructions recommend applying a drop of oil to the blades about once a month, which seems reasonable for any quality cutting tool. A little maintenance goes a long way, and I'd rather spend a few seconds caring for them than sacrifice performance. At around $24, I think this kit offers tremendous value. The scissors alone feel worth the price of admission. If they hold up long-term, I can easily see these becoming a permanent part of my grooming kit for years to come. Overall, I'm extremely impressed. Sharp blades, incredibly smooth action, useful accessories, and a price that won't make you think twice. Five stars.

I must confess that I am wildly partial to SeimeiKen hair supplies. I got a silver pair from this brand a year ago and they have been amazing when I cut hair for friends and my family. Absolutely reliable scissors that are so comfortable to use. But this black pair? What a way to class up the joint. These are gorgeous scissors and the performance is equal to an expensive pair in my arsenal (even though those are thinning shears). When the ‘barber’ is in at our house, I now lean into this set. I just cut my son’s hair and used these black scissors. They are extremely sharp and the cut is spot-on precise. The 6” size is perfection for my hand, I wouldn’t want them bigger. They also give you finger rings, which I love, 2 basic (but strong) combs, a cleaning cloth, and a small scissor tension adjuster (a metal ‘key’ to adjust to the performance you want). This brand makes quality items for an affordable price. If you need a haircut, I don’t think it's possible not to be impressed with these scissors.

This pair of scissors cuts extremely well. It's funny how regular scissors just aren't up to the task of cutting very fine hair, and hence why you need some special purpose shears like these. I know it's completely normal - especially after talking to a hair-cutting friend of mine - but I still don't quite understand why they area always built with these tiny holes for your fingers to go through. Maybe I just haven't learned how to hold a pair of these properly, but my big hands have trouble with it. The combs are a very nice quality plastic and fit confidently in my hand. Nice set, and you can see it in the attached picture.

This is a decent feeling pair of scissors. I wanted an extra pair to use for my dogs hair when I cut theirs so I dont use my usual people hair cutting scissors. Our outdoor dog had a couple thick mats in her fur that I wanted to cut out and that was a good test for how sharp these are. I can't say they did wonderfully, but they did a good job and I got the mats out. They come with a couple of firmer combs. The scissors are comfortable to hold for a long time, plus come with the ring inserts. These won't be replacing my favorite pair, but will definitely get plenty of use in my home.

These are really nice hair cutting scissors. They're sturdy and very well made, with sharp precision blades. The size is just right. I own a pair of expensive barber sheers that I bought more than forty years ago. Those are longer. I find the Seimiken Scissors much more comfortable to use. They just feel more natural in my hand. They're also much smoother to use that my old ones. I am not a professional by any means. These are for home use,, but it helps to have quality tools. This set also includes a rat tail comb and a styling comb. These are professional quality combs. The set also includes a set of finger guards and a tension key. It all comes packaged in a nice box and would make a great gift.
