These are high quality, lightweight scissors, ideal for the "pandemic home haircuts". My wife has no stylist training, and while she did a good job cutting my hair at home using the old stylist scissors we've had around the house for decades, she decided that they weren't sharp enough and it was causing her hands fatigue, so we looked around for a better pair. These would have gotten 5 stars instead of 4.5 except for two 1 star reviews claiming the package came empty without the product, and another saying that they were broken. Unless they were run over by a truck I doubt the latter claim, and considering how many scammers there are out there, I doubt the former. Suffice it to say, they are lightweight, comfortable to use, and sharp as hell, right to the tip (I have even used them to trim ear and nose hair at the very end of the tips, and they cut like a dream). Japanese steel is usually superior to what you can get elsewhere (just look at the priciest knives at kitchen stores, or in any high end woodworking shop), it's not surprising that these are excellent. Highly recommended.

I like these a lot. I cut my own hair, and also some of my family members hair. These are very sharp and a great entry level pair of barbering scissors. Especially when you consider how cheap they are for the quality you get out of these.

I just gave myself my first quarantine haircut, entirely with these scissors. (Hair clippers are kind of expensive.) These scissors got the job done. They are very sharp, and the package comes with a warning about this. That means you have to be very careful with these. I sliced the top layer of skin right off of one knuckle with these. After that, I put on my cut-proof kitchen gloves for the rest of my haircut. (Highly recommended! Just search for cut-proof kitchen gloves on Amazon.) And I was very, very, very careful around my ears.

I like their weight and how sharp they are. I have big hands and they are a bit of a fumble to get my thumb and finger into it, but once on, I like the rubber guard that holds my fingers in place and makes for accurate work. I would recommend them to others and buy again, ...though they are so strong I doubt I'll need another for years.

I am not a hair professional,, but these scissors have worked great for me.. Scissors are really comfortable to hold and they cut well. I've used these twice now for cutting my own hair and I've been very happy with them. They're perfectly sharp for precision cutting. I always finish with point cutting, but I think they would work well for a blunt cut, if that's what you're going for.

I am disappointed with the scissors. I just picked them up at a delivery locker at Whole Foods and ran home to try them before work. They did not feel sharp and it took twice the effort to cut beard hair as my old scissors which were not expensive either but they were sharp. I tried cutting up a fold in paper with half of the scissors and it did not work well: mangled the edge instead of cutting with a pull stroke. I keep my pocket knives sharp for work so I know what sharp is and how to make an edge sharp. These edges are not sharp. When I get the time next week, I will return them.
