I started cutting my own hair during COVID and I've been getting by with a cheap pair of haircutting scissors from Ulta for a few years now. These are definitely a step up from that - they have nice grips and come in a little protective pouch, they cut cleanly and are easy to use. I did find, however, that the tips of mine were not very sharp. The bulk of the scissors cut great, but when I tried to do some feathering snips the hair just bent between the shears. I checked to see if there was a nick or something in the tip, but I think the tolerance is just not close enough for that part of the scissors (this is just like the 1/8" end most bit of these scissors I'm talking about). These are still an upgrade from what I was using before, and probably fine for most at-home haircutters, but may not be professional grade if you're hoping to do anything fancy.

Let it be known that I haven’t been to a barber since the advent of the COVID Pandemic 3 & 1/2 years ago. Yes gang, I’ve taken to giving myself haircuts with my 35 year old beard trimmer and since I don’t mind looking like The Bride Of Frankenstein or Alfalfa from The Little Rascals it works surprisingly well. The main drawback are those random stray hairs that stick out even after I’ve gone over them with my beard clippers countless times and leaves annoying bald spots in its wake. Enter the MTM Professional Hair Scissors and with judicious snip here and there it’s sayanora to those pesky loose ends ! The scissors are super sharp and comfortable to hold making for easy use. They also come in a protective leatherette case and with a polishing cloth which are nice additions. With these scissors giving myself haircuts is a pleasant chore and I look forward to a time I face the public again.

These seem to be of high quality and smelled brand new (Love the new smell lol). They are very sharp and I was able to trim hairs without any snagging or issues. These seem to be well made, also snipping in ease and very fluently. It comes with the pouch and a microfiber cloth for cleaning. I'd recommend.

This is a decent pair of hair scissors. They are a nice size and great price. They feel less tight than my pair from Sally’s I got years ago. These gave less resistance at the end of the blade which allows hair to slip a little. They are fine for home use - trims and such.

I used these scissors to cut my son's hair. The scissors are very sharp, which helps to protect the hair from a ragged look and contributes to styling. The handles fit my hand nicely. I am a lefty and I had lots of control and comfort using these scissors.

These work as well as much more expensive scissors. They have an exceptionally smooth action, which provides the ability to make precise cuts. I don't know how well the edges will hold over time, but they're really sharp out of the box. If this is really Japanese steel, they should be extremely durable.

The scissors came well packaged and included a leather-like storage case and cleaning cloth. They are sharp and cut very well. (On the product page, they include a note that the scissors arrive with a thin coating of lubricating oil - make sure to wash that off before using). My only reason for reducing my rating form 5 stars is the finger holes could be a bit larger. They were just ok for me but may not work for those with very large fingers.
