  • Slim Fit is Awesome
The media could not be loaded. Works really well overall. Very slim fit. Magenet for front cover works well. Easy on off. The little snap at the bottom you gotta make sure its aligned and down. It doesn't snap. Just closes it really really close. Wish it snapped. But it's all good. Covers my crappy sticker job on the 4 corners too which is my #1 benefit personally. 4.6 stars overall. ... show more

  • Perfect for commute
I’ve been using for 5 months now on morning and evening subway commute and this is really the best case for that purpose. Flipping over a cover is much faster than fumbling back and forth with a zip case. Just be mindful of people around, the magnet cover falls easily when people bump into it. Now I wish they made one for the new Xbox ROG Ally too. ... show more

  • great fit
actually perfect fit, some review said the cover doesn't fit well, but mine did... For anyone debating if they need a case tho, steam deck comes with a big case, which is too big for me, but inside that big case is a SLIM case, its velcro attached and can be taken apart... check youtube... I found out after buying this case, that slim case would have been good enough for me personally... But overall this is still a very good case imo, case snaps right now, slim, light, easy to install. the cover can be used as a kickstand but... not very stable... ... show more

  • It's good enough.
I was looking to replace the bulky case the Deck came with for something that was a lot more minimal, and this fits the bill decently. It reminds me of "Project Killswitch," Dbrands name for their own case in the same vein, but since that case isn't out until September and I needed something sooner I went with this one for now. What's really to say? It fits well, protects everything, and I can toss the Deck in a bag without having to worry about the joysticks and screen getting messed up, also, you can place the cleaning cloth the Deck comes with on the screen and close the case up and carry that with you too. Overall it isn't a bad design (save for one thing) and the build quality feels decent, however the interior felt material on the detachable cover looks like complete garbage on the edges, it was really poorly glued in place. If it starts falling off I'll update the review. The rest of it feels really sturdy though, I trust my deck with it. The only reason I'm docking it points is the poor gluing and the one thing that I don't like is that there's no hole in the detachable part for the charging port so you can't protect the front of the Deck while it's charging... really dumb decision there. Not bad, not great, but a decent to protect your Steam Deck and at $20 you could probably do worse without any sort of joystick or screen protection with a flimsy rubber shell. If Project Killswitch looks that much nicer I might opt for that in the future, but this will do well for now, ... show more

  • A few things to note:
1. You will struggle to install the case. It is fairly thick tpu, and not very flexible. I did not however, feel at any point like I was going to damage the Deck during the process. 2. The lid operates exactly like its supposed to, contrary to the myriad of reviews that say it does not clasp properly. To new prospects (or current owners), bend the latch tab in a bit when you first get it. Go on, try it, seriously. It's thick thermoplastic, and PART of the lid itself (it's a single mold). Once you do so it will actually clasp with a satisfying click when closed. 3. Depending on your hand size, this case is thick enough that you may have a bit more difficulty pressing the back buttons, but YMMV here This is easily the best case out of 4 that I've tried including the Killswitch.I feel safe tossing the Deck into the glovebox or back seat of my car with the lid installed. Absolutely worth the price, or at least worth a shot. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Adequate, but could be better.
Alright, it just got delivered and here are my impressions. The outer TPU case for the Steam Deck is perfectly fine. It doesn't block any buttons, but the upper right edge is close to the Y and B buttons, so be careful when you put it on as it may end up rubbing against them and make those buttons more difficult to use. Otherwise, it feels decent in the hand. The outer cover... It isn't the most secure, but will do in a pinch. It will press down on the joysticks though. The "cloth" lining inside the cover inside the thumbstick indents isn't thoroughly glued to the cover, and is a bit stretched, causing the thumbsticks to be pressed when the cover is on. Removing the cloth from this area with a razor/exacto knife creates additional room that helps keep the thumbsticks from getting pressed, and reduces the internal push on the cover making everything fit a little bit better. I still might take my heat gun to it and see if I can "stretch" out the indents a little bit. 😊 The clasp on the bottom doesn't have a large enough catch in my opinion, and looks like it might easily slip off allowing the cover to flop around. On top of that, you can't easily get it to grab the bottom of the case if you attach the top first. My suggestion is to place the clasp portion of the cover on the bottom of the case first and then pull up on the cover wrapping the magnetic portion over the top. Doing it this way makes it require significantly more force to pull the clasp from its spot on the bottom of the case. Without the front cover, it seems to fit into the original case without too much issue, but not if the top cover is attached. Would I feel comfortable using the ProCase in my backpack as its only other form of protection? If I had other loose items in the same compartment that might scratch the screen if the cover came loose? Probably not. But purely for the extra rigidity covering the screen to protect against minor impacts? Sure. ... show more
