I travel quite a bit. I used to bring my deck with me everywhere but found the case to be very bulky and this one is soooo much slimmer. Still protection wise it’s fantastic. Fell many times due to my son reaching for the deck and letting it fall… the magnet cover is a great design. You just pop off the front and play. It's made of hard rubber, the back cover is softer but not the floppy kind, comfortably thick and just flexible enough to fit into the controller. The screen/button cover is a lot stiffer and has space to not mess with the joysticks. Easy to install just pop it on, just watch for the triggers for the back cover.     • Great customer service, improved product
I bought the previous version and it was simply too small & tight to be worth using. An online forum suggested contacting Procase customer support and they kindly comped the price of the new version. This is the best version of this case so far, with a few issues. Cons at the bottom. I was not paid for this review. The rubber case is sturdy and seems to have not changed. I leave the case on all the time and it fits fine in various bags. Also now I have two cases so I can mod one. The material is nicely patterned and has a pleasant feel on the outside. The cover, when clipped properly, provides good protection for the screen and it looks very clean & professional when displayed. When the case is secure I feel safe walking around with it in hand, and I think it will survive more than one drop before failing. The vent pass-through & charging cutouts are handy and make me feel better about running the Deck docked with the cover on. No heat issues that I encountered. With the fast & generous customer service I'll probably check out the next version of this case. The fabric on the joystick bumpouts is still stretched & glued too taut, so while the bumpouts are higher the joysticks still click - however, it needs significantly more pressure than before. The next version bumpouts should not touch the sticks at all when closed. The magnets are not worth the trouble - the next version should have four clips, 2 on each side. Speaking of the clip, the last version and this one share the issue of not being bent properly. They stick out too straight instead of hooking down to catch the case notch. I was able to bend them so they do catch but I was worried about breaking the brittle plastic clip. Make sure you get the "upgraded" version and this is a solid four stars. ... show more

    • Great low profile case
The upgraded version is great. I read that the lid doesn't close securely but I have no problems attaching the magnet and closing the lid securely repeatedly. It was easy to get set up.

    • Smallest Steam Deck protection possible
I have used this on both a regular Steam Deck and an OLED edition, and I am happy with both. It doesn't offer quite as much protection as the standard Steam Deck case, but it is MUCH, MUCH smaller - the trade-off is worth it to me. I love that the cover is magnetic and can be easily removed - I usually use the cover when carrying the Steam Deck in my backpack during travel, and pitch the cover off to the side as soon as I am home.
