For the price, it's an excellent case. The cover does have a shine to it, which makes it look higher in quality. It feels good, and it's standing up quite well. The only downside (if you care about it) is that there is minimal case coverage where the pen goes. The magnet strength is also good, and the charging port is easily accessible. This case has a sleek, lightweight design and works very well. The navy blue color is beautiful, and it fits the iPad perfectly. It offers good protection against scratches and minor bumps, the stand function is super handy, and the Apple Pencil slot is a great bonus. I’m giving it 4 stars because the front cover (the part that protects the screen) feels a bit thin and less sturdy than expected. It doesn’t affect functionality, but it could offer more peace of mind with a little extra reinforcement. I just installed this case so I can’t comment on its longevity but i used the iPad a bit with it on and saw no obvious problems. I have to say the Procase Starlight transparent color (which is more goldish) transformed my boring silver (Apple’s Starlight color as it looks on the iPad Air) into a lovely gold color similar to Apple's other gold products. I previously was using a Jetech that was clear with black border and it got very noticeable fingerprints on the clear part while this Procase’s transparent side is more matte that I can’t see any fingerprints on. While Procase had more complaints about a new plastic or other smells I actually thought mine had almost no smell and I had to sniff very closely to detect anything but it was still almost nothing, and certainly much less then the Jetech when new (although that reduced greatly after a day). Most of these case across all brand have complaints of strong smells so I was pleasantly surprised. Perhaps different colors have different amounts of smells. ... show more
