It worked well on my son’s sensitive skin, who has red hair and fair complexion and I am a bit darker in skin color and I have black and grey hair 😊 We both have normal to oily skin. I am a 65 y/o female with adult acne. I've been using the Proactiv for over 2 weeks now and it's doing a good job of controlling the acne. One thing I noticed many years ago is that dairy makes my face break out in painful red bumps. How do I know that? Because I stopped drinking milk once for many months. Then tried it again, and boom, zits. It happens every time I ingest milk. I haven't had a glass of milk in years, but I'll use it in mashed potatoes and that's enough to trigger the acne. I can tolerate cheese. Maybe it has something to do with the aging process of cheese. Sour cream and milk seem to be the worst irritants. People, stop buying into the B.S. that you must drink milk to get your protein. Milk is for baby cows! Why do humans drink another mammal's milk? It's gross if you think about it. Besides, that junk in the carton doesn't even come close to what comes out of the cow. It's so highly processed and stripped of all things natural and amped up with all kinds of man-made chemicals. Just search for 'foods with protein other than milk' to find different ways to get protein. Also, resting the palms of my hands on my cheeks and chin while I'm on the computer will cause those areas to break out due to bacteria on my hands. Now, onto the 'make sure you don't...' part. Benzoyl peroxide is an oxidizing agent that possesses antibacterial properties. About the oxidizing part. Make sure you don't get it on any fabric that you value like clothes or your good wash cloths or towels when you're washing your face. If at all possible, use the cleanser in the shower. Here's what I did. I put the cleanser on my face and then gently washed with a soft wash cloth. I rinsed the wash cloth out several times and I wiped all the cleanser off my skin. The next day I noticed that the wash cloth was bleached out, even after repeated rinsing. In closing, if you eat/drink dairy, stop doing it for a couple of weeks and see if your skin clears up. The Proactiv can't do its magic if you keep ingesting things that cause your face to break out. No amount of water will put out a fire if you keep throwing gas on it. ... show more

The 30 day supply is for individuals who just want to try it out. It ran out in about 12 days. I have used it on and off for years,I have darker skin and it lightened my skin over time.. not what I wanted. It also dried out my skin so I had to use a little more of the moisturizer.
