It has a paper backing with a thin strip without adhesive that makes it easy to apply. I used another product on the balloons first and there were a lot of "unplanned dis-adhesion" events. These are great glue dots!! They are strong. I highly recommend if you do crafting! They also come off pretty easy when you take off if you need to. I made a welcome sign on a mirror and it held everything on except i didn’t use it for the vinyl lettering only the design around the edges.

My wife and I will Never use helium again. These work GREAT on balloons. The adhesive adheres much more to the balloon then it did our ceiling. After removing the balloons, ZERO residue on our ceiling. The adhesive is nice and strong. You will only use this product for our parties in the future. Other advantages, helium balloons only last five to seven hours before they start coming down. Helium balloons shrink faster. Helium balloons move and often gather. NOT when you use this double-sided tape. Every balloon stays right where you stick it. Don't like where you put it? Pull it off and re-stick it. Balloons stay inflated much longer where they're not filled with helium. You could put them up the day before your party, and they'll look the same the next day. NOT with helium. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. And, No, I do not work for the company. Just had a New Year's Eve party and didn't want to spend a Dollar per balloon to inflate them myself.
