  • Fantastic value
Color: Satin Golden Yellow
I bought this for my wife who I noticed hadn’t been playing her beloved vinyl in quite some time. Turns out she kept forgetting we had a player because I had it under a solid wood dust cover due to the cost of a replacement plexi cover. I replaced that Denon DP-35f with this and was immediately struck by the clarity and detail. It’s one thing to notice something is better, but I actually listened to an entire album of a genre I don’t even like just because it was so much better. Upon test driving it herself my wife said it was like hearing the reasons she fell in love with vinyl in the first place, and I knew I had made the right choice. Icing on the cake; these are modular and you can upgrade parts if you ever see the need, which I couldn’t personally imagine needing to do. I saved some money with the “used” option but if this unit was used I couldn’t tell. Everything looked factory sealed, and there wasn’t so much as fingerprint on dust cover. ... show more

  • five stars one year in
Color: High Gloss Black
The media could not be loaded. I'm spinning a record this morning, and writing this review a bit over one year after purchasing this turntable. I've been thrilled with it for the past 12 months - it's been a daily presence in my musical life. The sound is great, it's quiet, and it looks sleek on the shelf. It was a breeze to set up. The one feature I was unsure about is the fact that the tonearm would not return automatically at the end of the record (I imagined myself forgetting about this and waking up the next morning with the platter still spinning and the tonearm still thumping against the label - this has not happened). However, I've grown to enjoy getting up and lifting the tonearm - the lift arm that does this is very smooth. Granted this is the turntable I've lived with for a year, and there are many, many other choices out there, but a year in I'd still give this my highest recommendation. I'd buy it again. ... show more

  • Puts the Fidelity in Hi-Fi
Color: Satin Black
Just set up my Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable. I could not be more pleased. The unit was well-packaged for delivery. The set-up instructions were well laid out and easy to follow. I paired the turntable with a pair of Klipsch The Fives. The set up sounds terrific! I am enjoying listening to records from my vinyl collection for the first time in years. The sound is full, crisp, warm, and clear. The Pro-Ject turntable not only provides excellent high fidelity sound reproduction, but it looks great, too! I’m looking forward to many hours of listening to my music for years to come. ... show more

  • Great TT w/ a few oversights
Color: High Gloss Black
This table is fairly high quality with some great components but I have a few things I’d like to see improved or addressed with later models: 1. Most tables around this price range have a higher quality cartridge. The Ranier isn’t bad by any means, but isn’t extraordinary either. 2. For a table that doesn’t have any auto start or stop features, one would think that the 33 & 45 switch would be more easily accessed. Why put a blind switch on the underside of the plinth? Fairly serious design flaw. 3. The cover should have some rubber feet/bumpers to protect the finish on the plinth. Additionally, the way it attaches to the hinges isn’t very secure and creates some additional movement, which again, creates more issues regarding the lid coming into direct contact with the plinth/finish. I want to be clear, this is a great table and performs well. However, these point are some things that would be helpful for consumers to know when comparing/contrasting multiple tables. ... show more

  • Sleek Modern and sounds Amazing
Color: High Gloss White
The media could not be loaded. This is my third turntable since I started listening to vinyl in 2005. Graduated from a Crosley playing dollar store records to a Technics SL-D2 which was a workhorse but ultimately I wanted to break into higher tier audio equipment. Is 500$ a lot of money? For most people I’d say yes, especially since if you don’t already have them you need the amp or receiver and speakers etc. But I spent a bunch of time reading reviews and best of’s and watching suggestions on YouTube and hands down this was most appealing to me as intro hi-fi. It’s sleek and not cheap, everything feels and looks high class. It’s just satisfying picking up the tone arm and sliding it over the record. Of course it’s not automatic but If you’re worried about walking away you can just invest in a q-up for 40$. I went with the hi gloss white snd it’s so shiny and modern looking. It’s got some weight to it but isn’t a brick, platter felt substantial and firm. The belt install was easy as hell, and of course has a button to switch between 33 and 45’s, but you have to switch belts if you’re into 78s which I’m not. Comes with plugs for US outlets and 2 more I think are European and something else, so if you gotta make an international move you can do so and take it with you. Also I am really pleased with the Sumiko cartridge, of course I’m still breaking it in but no issues and I’m glad I didn’t have to also invest in a cart. I think it’s going to last a really long time, I couldn’t be happier. Took a little while for it to be delivered. It was pouring down with rain nonstop here and Insont know if they intentionally delayed the delivery because of that but I was so happy because I was beyond paranoid it would get ruined. Upon opening realized this was packed so well I had nothing to worry about. There’s an outer Amazon box and inside the other manufacturers box with the name of the product on it and inside custom styrofoam to house and safely ship the disassembled unit. It was easy to put all the parts together with their manual but I’d you really need help I found a couple of YouTube videos that walk you thru it step by step. Works great with my speakers and my receiver. You won’t regret it and if you do you can return or he’ll sell it on eBay they retain their value as long as they’re in good shape. Keep the box so you can ship it back to the factory in case of repairs or later sale. ... show more
