Sleek Upgrade That Keeps Your Console (and Accessories) Cool If you are looking to give your PS5 Pro Disc Edition a stealthy makeover while actually improving its thermal performance, these face plates are an excellent choice. Out of the box, you will notice that the material is slightly thinner than the original OEM plates. However, they don't feel terribly cheap or flimsy once installed, and they snap onto the console securely. The real selling point here is the addition of the cooling vents. It makes a massive, noticeable difference in airflow. Previously, my PlayStation Pulse Elite wireless USB dongle would frequently overheat during intense gaming sessions. Since swapping to these KANNGENN plates, the fans are able to pull fresh air straight from the outside, keeping the entire system significantly cooler. The USB dongle hasn't overheated once and now runs perfectly. If you want a functional, great-looking aesthetic upgrade that actively helps your console breathe better, this replacement shell is well worth it.

Fit's as it should didn't have any issues getting the plates on and aligned. They look really good on the PS5 Pro and I like the black better than the OEM white color. Not sure how much help the extra vents will do. As I assume Sony has designed the system to get the airflow it needs. If anything it might just get more dust inside the PS5 over time and require more frequent cleaning. Overall please and the quality seems on par with the OEM plates that came off.

This did not fit on my ps5. When trying to put on it did not match up to the holes inside when trying to attach it on. Unfortunately, I had to rerun it.

I had higher expectations for these face plates, but the quality just isn’t there. The material feels really flimsy, like very thin plastic that doesn’t seem like it will hold up over time. When installing them, I noticed they flex way more than the original plates, which made me worry about cracking or breaking with normal use. They do fit the console, but they don’t feel nearly as sturdy or well-made as the original PS5 plates. The cooling vents are a nice idea, but again the overall build quality takes away from it because it just doesn’t feel durable. That said, I’ll give a couple of pros: the black color does look nice and is definitely easier to keep clean compared to lighter plates, and the fan slits are wider which makes them easier to wipe down and keep dust-free. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend these if you’re looking for something solid and long-lasting. The thin, flimsy plastic makes them feel cheap, even if they have a couple of practical design perks.
