Among other upgrades, this big cat added Spektrum Smart technology to the highlights of the Blackjack design.Now Pro Boat returns to where it all began, bringing the same improvements found in its “big brother” to the smaller, more affordable Blackjack 24”. This redesigned Blackjack 24” not only looks better than the original, but performs better as well.Its brushless power system has been updated with top-of-the-line Spektrum electronics, including a Spektrum Firma 2200Kv brushless motor and Spektrum Firma 90A Smart ESC. The ESC is Smart ready, allowing you to receive vital telemetry data at your fingertips when using an optional Spektrum Smart receiver and transmitter. Straight out of the box, the Blackjack 24” is 4S capable. Just install the recommended batteries and you’ll have all the speed and acceleration you can handle!Other additions include the innovative Pro Boat SSL (Strap, Slide, Lock) battery tray that eliminates the hassle from locking down batteries in confined spaces. You can swap out packs in a snap — it takes only a matter of seconds. Bushing lubrication is simplified with a “grease and go” system that reduces this task to just three easy steps: remove the prop strut plug screw, pump in some grease, and seal it back up. The grease passes through the prop strut and stuffing tube into the bushing, right where it’s needed.Pro Boat gives you a choice of two iconic liveries for your Blackjack 24” catamaran. At top speed, the Heat Wave race livery is a blaze of wild color burning through the water. Man oh man. If you want to have 24 inches of sheer fun with the kids on a hot summer day than the BLACKJACK 24 RC boat will not disappoint. So much fun that the sister to the Blackjack24 was purchased, HEATWAVE. We now have DOUBLE THE FUN. The batteries were charged before going out the first time and man oh man, heart pounding fun and excitement are just a few words to describe what happens getting it up to top speeds, 45+ mph. The product came quickly with no problems whatsoever. The quality and steering ability are one of the best out there, it is a "PROBOAT" and they have a great reputation. The battery life is around fifteen minutes, so you will want to have more than one set of batteries. The boat is two feet of nothing but smiles. This Blackjack 24 RC Electric boat was an excellent price when I purchased and I haven’t been dissatisfied with it. Out of the box the boat ran 43 mph and after a change to a different prop I was able to get 50 mph. The boat likes smooth water for max speed but can handle rougher water easily at slower speeds. ... show more

One of the most fun boats I've owned. The color is amazing. I had a car this color so when I saw the green / yellow was an option I was so psyched. This thing is nice to learn with and depending on the batteries can get decent run time. If you do a couple upgrades this thing becomes a rocket. Enjoy stock or do like I did and most do, learn with it enjoy and then upgrade it down the line. Either way you wont be sorry you added this to your collection. ... show more

Ran it 3 times now has red flashing lights at esc. No throttle or steering response. Very disappointing, was expecting more from Pro Boat.

This is a great rc boat for 15 and up. The only complaints is the thin polycarbonate hull. However thin it is easy to repair.

It’s a great boat for the money. Plan to seal the top with something as both of our did take in some water. They are fast. Tricky for choppy lakes. Run best on calm glassy water. We use a 4s 6500 120c battery. No heat issues. I would buy another without thought

The Pro Boat Blackjack 24 v2 taught me one of the most important lessons in RC boating: Do your research before buying a boat just because it looks cool or seems fast in videos. At first, I genuinely loved the Blackjack 24. It looks aggressive, sounds awesome on the water, and for its size it absolutely rips. The parts support is easy, the community around it is huge, and when conditions are perfect it can definitely put a smile on your face. But over time I realized I was constantly driving around the boat’s weaknesses instead of enjoying the experience. The biggest issue was the handling. The hull porpoised constantly until you got up to speed, and even once it settled down, it never truly felt planted or confidence inspiring. Straight-line passes were fun, but the second you wanted to really attack corners or carve the water aggressively, the boat became unpredictable. It always felt like it was right on the edge of flipping and it usually did. With no self righting this made runs all feel the same. If I was going to push this boat I was likely going for a swim or waiting for it to float into one of my neighbors yards. (NEVER SWIM FOR A BOAT UNLESS CONDITIONS ARE SAFE. HAVE SOME FORM OF FLOTATION TO ASSIST YOU AND SOMEONE SPOT YOU FROM SHORE). And that’s what made me eventually sell it. If you’re looking for a boat that OWNS the waves — something that carves through the water at insane speed with smoothness and confidence — this is not that boat. The Blackjack feels exciting in bursts. A boat like the Zonda feels alive. That’s the difference. The Zonda doesn’t just go fast. It feels like it’s skating across the surface of the water. You can carry speed through corners in a way the Blackjack simply can’t match. The hull feels composed, aggressive, and smooth all at once. It delivers that “holy crap” feeling every time you run it. The BJ24 made me realize something important: sometimes saving money upfront actually costs more in the long run. A lot of people buy intermediate boats thinking they’re being financially smart, but then end up: - upgrading constantly - chasing handling fixes - buying aftermarket parts - or eventually selling the boat at a loss to buy the boat they wanted in the first place Used RC stuff almost always loses value, especially once it’s been run hard or modified. Returning or reselling boats becomes a hassle, and you rarely get back what you put into them. In hindsight, I would’ve rather saved longer and bought the boat I truly wanted from the start. That doesn’t make the Blackjack 24 a bad boat. It just depends on what kind of experience you’re chasing. If you want a relatively affordable small cat that can do quick speed runs and have some fun, the BJ24 absolutely has its place. But if your goal is that unforgettable “this thing feels unreal on the water” experience — the kind of boat that makes your heart race every time you pull the trigger — then saving for something higher-end like a Zonda is completely worth it. Because once you experience that level of performance and handling, it’s very hard to go backwards. ... show more
