  • Best on the Market
Style: Assorted
These markers have vibrant color and each stroke blends with the stroke before! In other words there are no streaks! They are worth the extra money!! As far as bleeding through, it's not a marker issue. They all bleed through, so always place something behind the paper that you're working on to protect the surface or the next page. 🙂 ... show more

  • The Cool Grey pack has THREE black markers
Style: Cool Grey
If you are looking to get just the black Prismacolor double-ended markers, then the Cool Grey pack here seems to be the closest thing you're going to find. At least that I know of. Each of the grey markers are slightly different from each other, but the three blacks are the same color black. And so, the only thing that I would call a downside, would be that there aren't any packs that are just nothing but black markers. But that's alright. I suppose I'll live... Lol, besides that though, I don't have any complaints. I went with these Prismacolor markers because I wanted some premium quality markers. And I knew that's what I would get from Prismacolor. ... show more

  • Silky smooth blendable ink
Style: Pastel
This is my 3rd set of prismacolors markers. Love them. They are wonderful markers to create with. The ink is……almost silky when laying down. They blend incredibly well together and with other brands. They might sound a bit pricy at about $2 a marker but they are a nice addition to any marker lovers arsenal. They do go on sale a lot and not just on Amazon. I bought my other sets for less than $1 a marker while on sale somewhere else. The biggest thing is they are pretty awesome. After all that, there is one thing that could improve…….. the caps are terribly hard to get off. It doesn’t deter me from buying a set every once in a while. ... show more

  • Brushless Starter Manga Marker Set
Style: Manga
These markers are a "professional" quality set at a low price, which is really the biggest selling point of this set. However, beware of the use of "Manga" as part of the label. These are not brush tip and although this is a nice set of markers, it can not possibly cover everything you can believe to be "Manga" with just 12 colors. Now, to be fair the product description reads: "Double-ended markers with both broad and fine nibs". These are obviously not brush tip markers. However, for some reason, when I read "Manga" as part of the label, I thought they were brush tip markers. Even then, I thought it was a good set of colored markers for a good prices, so I decided to keep them anyway. As the description of this product mentions, "Manga" refers to the range of colors available in this set. However, how much of a range do you have with only 12 markers? You have your three primary and three secondary: PM1 Process Red, PM 17 Sunburst Yellow, PM39 True Blue, PM14 Pale Vermillion, PM167 Apple Green, and PM171 Lilac. You have three more for flesh tones: PM72 Eggshell, PM70 Brick Beige, and PM208 Ballet Pink. One for shadows: PM156 French Gray 20%. And two for backgrounds: PM95 Sienna Brown, and PM144 Cloud Blue. Of course, you can get really be creative with this set of colors and use them however you want. For example: Use Brown, Vermillion and Yellow for flesh tones, or Cloud Blue for eye color. These markers are very good for layering and if you are able to blend them then you range of colors will go up quite a bit, but that would mean you are already good at using markers. I think this is an OK starter set of markers for artist who has some experience with markers. I wouldn't advertise them for beginners, but it would be the next step to go if you already dabble with cheaper markers. ... show more

  • Great first impression so far
Style: Manga
Initial first impression is great! This is my first time using any sort of art markers and as someone who isn't fantastic at art, these markers are a great way to not break my bank and work on improving my art skills. The color selection is just a teensy bit selective (PM-1 is way more of a pink then the red my camera makes it look and in my opinion a red would be nice) but I cant really complain for what it is and I love that you get a few good skin tones to choose from (and even more if you blend!). The colors did bleed through 2 of my additional art book pages but that can easily be fixed by putting printer paper or whatever underneath. Blending works nice roo. I took a few colors that matched well together plus a couple total random colors to blend together and well you can see the results in the image. So to sum it all up, I've only used the markers a couple of times so far but am quite pleased with the results. Given the price + variety I would definitely recommend this pack. :) ... show more

  • What an addiction!
Style: Cool Grey
My best friend is sponsored by several art-material brands at Costa Rica, and he showed me the Prismacolor markets so I had to get my own. I gotta say these things turned into an addiction. I can color with greater speed than just with graphite pencils (I’m a grey-scale type of artist) and the quality of the ink is pretty awesome. Maybe it’s because they are water based that they get to blend pretty easily when you combine them, let’s say, each tone will blend nicely when exposed to its darker step. The only thing that makes me sad is that the 10% grey one dried too quickly. Maybe I overused it, but other than that, these guys have become my best friends at any time. The thick tip gives you the chance to color in a wider range and without leaving marks, So the cool thing is that you can draw a line with the same marker over and over and over again and it won’t go darker. It will remain its original tone. I’ll share some pieces I’ve made with them. ... show more

I use these to enhance my water color work. It's nice that the Prismacolor pencils will match up and work together with them color wise.
