The shower door bottom seal fits a 3/8 inch x 36 inch swinging shower door, but can easily be cut to fit a shorter door with a hacksaw, tin snips or utility knife. I fit great on the glass width and is very sturdy! My girl math made me not take into consideration the bottom part, so I did have to cut the entire bottom part off because my shower is raised a bit, so it wouldn't fully close. After I cut it a bunch of times with kitchen scissors, it worked! I did have to heat up a spoon to push the sturdy plastic down, so my door could close a bit better. If the company is reading these comments, can you please make one that doesn't have the bottom flaps that touches the floor and possibly the corner make it so the plastic is a bit more flexible. I love that it's SUPER sturdy but my door doesn't close all the way because it's sturdy and it angles out. But again, my fault because I'm not great at measuring. I've had it on for a couple of weeks now and no water is coming out. ... show more

I was so hopeful for this. Our original seal that came with our shower years ago was seriously worn so wanted to get a new one. Everything with this looked right for our door. The 3/8 size, the style, etc. The only issue was this one was too long but I figured I could just cut it to size. When I received this one, it was extremely stiff so I had worries it wouldn’t create a nice flexible seal like it should, causing leakage. Sadly, didn’t even get that far because this claims to fit a 3/8 inch door but was way too big. It didn’t fit snuggly onto the door at all, just fell right off. Can’t even return it because I had to cut it down shorter to attempt to fit it. Thankfully this wasn’t a huge monetary set back but still disappointing. ... show more

Shower door sweeps are one of the most common items that I replace for my clients. If you have a glass shower door, you can bet that the sweep will start failing at about the two-year mark. When this happens, water will start leaking out on your floor, this is frustrating and, in some cases, can cause damage to the sub floor. These seals are easy to install, all you need is a sharp razor blade, some glass cleaner and a little time (maybe 10 minutes). Make sure to measure the thickness of the door so you can order the correct size needed (unless you have some off brand, budget grade door that the builder installed because they wanted to save a penny or two, see the "heading title"). The old sweep should slip off the door, downwards. It may take a little force because of calcium build up but will come off. Using the "new" sharp razor, BE CAREFUL, and shave the calcium debris off the door, then clean the glass so the new seal will slip into place. Make sure to install the sweep with the water diverter facing into the shower enclosure. The seal should fit snugly, and it may take a little force to get it place. Start from the hinge side of the door and work towards the outside edge. Once installed, you can use the razor blade to trim the seal to length, and you're done. ... show more
