These work really well and save me from having to use a lot of harsh chemicals or calling in a plumber. They always catch a bunch of hair. They are easy to remove, easy to install. The hardest part is feeding the chain far enough down the drain during installation, but even that is just a few minutes of patience. I’ve never had any break, and they fit my drain well. I always have these on hand and ensure my bathtub/shower drain is covered to avoid larger issues.     • Messy, but functional!

We have 7 kids and 4 are long hair girls. I used to have to use a plastic tool to fish the hair from the drain each month. It worked fine but I prefer this product because it stays in the drain. Our drain plug screws in the middle of the drain hole and twists to activate. This device sits nicely below it and doesn't interfere with the function of the plug. The chain stays in the drain and has little rubber grabbers on it. It easily pulls up for cleaning and can be dropped right back in when done. My only complaint so far is that when you clean this thing, it is seriously messy and the hair is so tangled in the chain and grabbers you have to untangle it. Compared to the plastic tool I used before that was stiff, this one is more hands on. The plastic stick could be cleaned simply by pulling on the hair with toilet paper and it would either break off or pull off. Because the chain is not stiff, you have to spend time untangling the hair and pulling. I slid the toilet paper down the chain to pull the hair off and the rubber grabbers all slid with it. They easily were slid back in to place, but this method of hair catching may not be everyone's preference. I prefer it because I feel less hair gets past it between cleanings (since it stays in there). Perhaps more frequent cleanings would lessen the effort. ... show more

I have several household members with long hair. While the hair is beautiful, it can cause problems in the drains in the long term. The drain wig effectively captures hair flowing down our drains and catches it on a chain. After about a month, I checked the chain, which was almost always full of long hair. I threw it away and put it in a new one. No more clogged drains! I use this product primarily in the shower. It's very low maintenance, and all I see is the plastic daisy on my drain when taking a shower. I have also used these in my bathroom drains but it's harder to thread the chain into the drain as its a lot shorter than my shower drain. Bottom line - no more hair clogs! I am not kidding you when I say these work. Depending on the design you get they just kind of blend in to the point you don’t really notice them anymore. While in the shower I noticed it starting to drain less freely. I couldn’t figure it out. Then, I looked and no drain wig to catch my hair! Bought more that night. I saw this on shark tank. I usually love their products. I have had this about a month. I have really long hair, and so do my kids. I periodically check the chain, but I haven't seen any hair that has been caught. It makes me wonder if it actually does what it is supposed to do.

I have long hair, though my wife doesn't, in a bit of a reversal. So any clogging in the shower drain is down to me. A friend gave me one of these, I think it was a knock-off brand, to try and it actually worked really well, although the little rubber "wings" on the chain came off pretty easily when cleaning it. So when I went to replace it I did something I don't normally do and went with the "brand name", and I don't regret it...I've already cleaned the hair off one of them and the rubber bits held up. Granted I was careful when removing the hair, but still. The chain feels sturdy too. The first one is currently back in the drain, and I feel pretty sure that I can keep cleaning it and using it for quite a while yet. I'm very happy with this purchase. ... show more

They didn't come in black so I spray painted them to match my drain. They have a ball chain with little rubber things on them to help catch the hair. We'll see how they work and I'll update later.
