    • Does Not Have A Slave Mode

I was planning on linking this to my Orion Studio, but there is no "slave" mode for the interface. You can set the clock to be external, but there's no way to make the Orion the master interface for the session, and have this feed the Orion 16 extra ADAT inputs. Was very upset to learn this as the Orion has far superior AD/DA conversion and clocking (at least I can still use it as the master clock). ... show more

I was excited to receive this toy. However, upon receipt I realized that it uses Thunderbolt 2 and not 3. Good luck finding that anywhere in the owner's manual. Second, my old PreSonus Audiobox USB interface did have direct input monitoring which was very handy. I could easily monitor and control the volume of the background music while recording the vocals. This helped in 2 ways. First, the music would not bleed into the vocal, and second the vocalist could hear his/her voice over the music. Well, this new toy does not have such feature and it is not designed for direct monitoring says PreSonus Technical Support. Great. The 26x32 is a fantastic unit. There are some issues however with Windows PCs. First, you must have a motherboard with a thunderbolt Port directly on it. do not buy a card. Secondly, you'll need a thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 adapter connected to the TB 2 cable. Lastly, spend the extra monies to get an OWC thunderbolt 4 hub. Run the hub to the PC and the 26x32 to the hub. You'll never have an issue. The hub also let's you stack these units easily while simply daisy chaining word clock. Latency is virtually non existent because of the TB speeds. These units really do it all and allow for growth. ... show more

Boy presonus had me just about ready to toss out EVERYTHING with these crackles and pops but I kept looking for a solution like crazy. If you have the HP SPECTRE X360 GEM CUT like me, you already know. GO TO THE UNIVERSAL CONTROL SETTINGS (MAY BE IN BOTTOM RIGHT TASK BAR), GO TO SETTINGS, OPTIONS, CHECK MARK "ENABLE OPTIMIZED PRESONUS POWER PLAN....", CLICK APPLY, AND HOPEFULLY THIS GETS RID OF ALL YOUR STRESSES. IF YOUR PC IS RUNNING AT 100% CPU, JUST UNPLUG THE LAPTOP CHARGER OR FIGURE IT OUT. Thank me with your work. ... show more

works great, only thing it can be a challenge to get your computer to recognize the Quantum box. it took about a good 4 hours to figure it out. The Pre-sounus web site was very helpful thou.

You can't buy a better interface period! Sound quality, performance, latency... I'm totally blown away, don't even bother using my high-end boutique mic pres anymore. The latency through the OS and DAW at 32 samples is non-detectable.
