This "mixer" installed seamlessly to my son's DAW and he was able to start recording within minutes. Confirmed works with Audacity and Adobe Audition. Channel pre-amps are clean and there does not appear to be any lag. This is a good little interface for beginner/home studio recording.

It's simple! it's solid! And it helped me decide to buy my JBL LSR305's, which I LOVE! I'm not a musician. I used to be, way back when a saxophone was my prefered musical outlet. But I digress. I was really keen on getting some new desktop speakers for my office. My Altec Lansing 2.1 system finally died after many years. This time around I wanted to do something different. I wanted to bump up the quality of my musical experience. I searched for a few weeks and landed on the JBL LSR305's. But I needed a DAC/Amp that was capable of driving them. I was searching YouTube videos and found this one: https://youtu.be/BkSKzGZLykI He uses a ProSonus AudioBox iTwo to provide the needed XLR or TRS connectors the JBL LSR305's require. Cool I'll go for that. At $149.95 it appeared to be a good fit in my budget. The speakers, cables, AudioBox iTwo, and monitor isolation pads arrived yesterday. Setup is a breeze. Sound is AMAZING! Since this is a USB DAC/Amp the volume control in MacOS doesn't work. But the big volume knob on the iTwo does. No big deal. ... show more

    • Not much direction on setting it up but works wonderfully when you figure it out.
My setup consists of an iPad Pro with the Apple USB-C HDMI USB adapter. I wrestled with this thing to get the iPad to recognize the PreSonus device. Tried multiple USB cables thinking it may be a compatibility issue etc. Turns out all you need to do is connect the USB PC/Mac Power cable to your iPad and leave the Device USB port empty on the back. It will pick up immediately! Using the Apple USB-C HDMI USB adapter will allow for USB-C power so you can run all night long. Works perfectly with GarageBand and other apps that allow for third party devices.     • Great for combining iPad instruments with a MIDI keyboard!
My keyboard did not have USB MIDI/AUDIO Host and this box basically re-creates that environment. Always had grounding and unstable connection noise issues with mini stereo plugs. This hub is iPad compatible and provides a direct internal audio connection through the iPad camera connector adapter and has inputs for your keyboard 1/4" plugs. Output is adjusted with a mix knob. Add an unpowered USB hub for additional connections (MIDI pedal, etc) as needed. Left and right main outputs go directly to your powered amp or system. Sound quality is awesome!     • Charge ipad before you start then enjoy this easy to use well priced tool.
This tool costs a fraction of the apogee duet I purchased for macbook pro before ipad came out. My apogee doesn't work with lightning connector. The new Apogee works with ipad -- for another $600. So I decided to try Audiobox that works with ipad or macbook or PC, and it is very simple to use - no need to install separate app for audiobox like there is with apogee. One thing... You must charge ipad before you start, because Audiobox device port does not provide charging current. This is not a problem for mac or pc. If you are using ipad only, then you must also use provided USB 2.0 cable to plug Audiobox into ipad's charger block to power audiobox, and plug ipad lightning cable into Audiobox device port. Love that both front ports provide support for either cardiod or condenser mics or guitars mix and match. Midi ports great too. Very simple versatile product. This is my new favorite toy.
