This is a great radio. Full of useful features, and simple to use. The auto SWR is a really nice touch. Very good receiver and picks up lots of skip when it’s around. Can be a bit staticky but that’s in my car so just turn the receive gain down a bit and it’s all good. Even in the brightest sun you can still read the display.     • Nice compact radio
Pretty nice little unit only thing is the mic is small but works good. It’s a 5 pin so replacement ones at the truck stops aren’t available or not much choice. But could always get the 5-4 adapter. All in all I’m very happy with it. Half the size of cobra 29 and and way better in my opinion

Great radio. Shipping time was to be expected. Showed up on front porch in factory box clearly advertising what it was. Not a problem unless you have package thieves. Paired it with a 3’ fire stick antenna mounted in left front stakehole on pick up bed with 1.6 - 1.8 SWR on channel 1 and 40. Alternately, I paired it with a 5’ Wilson 1000 magnet mount, SWR 1.3 to 1.4 . Both done with external SWR meter. Checked with 2 different meters. Same numbers. The internal SWR in radio shows a bit higher than external one, So I went with external meters for final tune. As to be expected, Radio really gets out with the 5’ Wilson on top of cab. Does ok with the 3’ one. Clearance being the issue with 5’ one. ... show more

    • Not what its cracked up to be.
The radio has some good features. Transmit is so so. Wasn't expecting much on the wattmeter, but that's ok. The receive is crappy. A Bearcat 980 will beat the brakes off of it on the quality of the receive. ( Just can't see the display). All these CB designers need to hire someone to help design the darn things. They get nearly there and stop short of a quality transmitter, receiver and display. You come close Uniden with the 980. President not so on the Walker. IMHO. ... show more

Works as advertised. Used this radio to replace a ranger 696that I’ve had for 10 years. I hardly ever talk sideband in the mobile so I decided on this guy. It’s smaller and lighter than the ranger I replaced seems to be on channel. I do really enjoy the asc circuit. If I want to hear more distant stuff I turn the squelch up til it disengages the asc and it works as normal. Really in my mind what the cobra 29 lx should have been. ... show more

This is a great medium sized CB radio that is smaller than a Cobra 29.More like the size of a cobra 25..Without any mods it gets out and hears good even without me tuning the SWR.Radio comes with Roger beep and talkback.Display is really nice because you can change the colors.

I got one of these for my ford ranger! Hooked it up with a stryker antenna and swr was 1.6 the higest from ch 1-40 this little radio talks! But my ranger is kinda cramped so i had to order a floor mount for it! But no complaints at all and i would highly recomend it for a first time cb user!
