  • Very informative!
Very useful book & you dont need to be an expert to learn this with this books help! Others just list the herbs, etc and what theyre good for whereas this book tells you also how to use them.

  • My best purchase of the year so far!
Well thought out book of recipes, tips and tricks for herbal medicine for acute and chronic conditions and even for increasing your good health. It's written simply for people like me who've begun gardening for the first time to grow healthy, inexpensive food, home medical ingredients and herbs. How to prepare and store the herbs and mix to create herbal medicines and healthy tinctures designed to boost your body's ability to be healthy and fight off bacterial and viral infections, help with pain, help you sleep, and stop chronic allergies and asthma attacks in their tracks. I would recommend this book to even the most casual and/or beginner preppers and those who want to live a simpler, healthier existence. ... show more

  • Miracle Cure for ME so far!!!
I cannot say enough good things about this book. Bought it two months ago and for a small book, it is well worth the money. I have made the Flu syrup for my neighbor and its tasty and in 24 hours, the 6 year old is better and the mom is on her way to recovery. But, the ABSOLUTE BEST RECIPE IS THE NUTRITIONAL SYRUP. I have been ill for 6 years with a stomach issue that WILL NOT GO AWAY. Have had biopsies, colonoscopy and an endoscopy. They removed my gall bladder with the illness getting worse. I have considered any treatment I found. During the last year, I have ballooned to 196 and multiple times daily, I have been vomiting. I bought this book out of anxiety and I was considering it an emergency purchase. I kid you not, people. I havent thrown up in 8 days. I was able to brush my teeth without gagging. I walked the dogs without sweating buckets. Went to the store ALONE and brought in all the groceries by myself. I cannot tell you how much this recipe has changed my life. I am not swollen as much as before and Ive had a regular bowel movement which is a blessed MIRACLE. My body has to get better ... But Im already 100% improved. And Ive lost 23 lbs. Mostly water weight and my skin is not so tight and itchy anymore. Shocked. But feeling loads better!!! Update: still taking it!!! Lost over 60 lbs. FEEL HUMAN. LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!! Update #2 I truly believe this book has saved my life. I use it weekly. I decided to become an Herbalist. I have bought it for two other ppl, recommend it at least once a week and during classes I teach. Im under 140. Ive gone from size 18 jeans being tight to 12s being roomy. Im telling you right now that Christmas 2019, I was sick as a dog, convinced I was dying and had experienced that all the Doctors would do was shove pills at me to shut me up. It is 2 years later and I feel like Ive been given a second chance. Im not on any prescriptions and I feel so much better. Buy The Book. ... show more

  • Great book!
This book will be worth it's weight in gold! It's not a replacement for conventional medicine, but rather a way to treat common health issues and ailments in a society where conventional medicine is no longer an option (ex: post collapse society, etc.). Best to get started now, either growing or stocking, the herbs needed for most of the recipes. This book gives multiple different dosing methods for elderly, children, etc. Also has dosages for pregnant moms and obese patients, something I have not seen in any other books. I will be using this as a companion to Rosemary Gladstar's book on home remedies. If I had the money, I'd purchase this book for everyone in my family. If you can only get one book, get this one. It has a lot of the same stuff that Gladstar's books have, but with more details on certain things. ... show more

  • No experience in this subject but this book is comprehensive & very prepper-oriented. Well worth it.
Honestly, this is the first book I've gotten on this subject. I wouldn't know if there's anything amiss or incorrect. Bearing that in mind, I'm looking at this from a prepper's perspective. I found it to be a well-laid-out, very inclusive, and pertinent to a no-doctor-available scenario. Practical info for infections, burns, broken bones, etc. A very nice list of herbs/ingredients with comprehensive info on what part of the plant to use, what effects it's for, uses, how to prepare it, dosing, and contraindications. All very very useful and easy to understand. Mind you, there are a lot of medical-ish words that are used that you aren't going to be able to avoid in a book on this subject, but all the definitions are in a glossary you can just flip to and check if needed. Extremely thoughtful and sensible. There's also an appendix at the back that's a chart of herbs/plants appropriate by symptom or use. So you can look it up that way. Also very thoughtful. The book is not huge, but imo is an excellent size, and is light, so would definitely be worth the space to pack if you needed to. All in all, very impressed with this book. ... show more
