I liked how the author is taking this lifestyle and breaking it down slowly. They are shorter books , so easy to read and understand. However, there are a few grammatical errors and spelling issues. This is good for people who are just getting into this lifestyle. It covers the very basics. Not exactly for anyone who has experience unless they need a refresher due to incorrect learning/training. I took a star away because the editing makes some sentences hard to read.

This book is not well edited. There were hundreds of typos, grammatical errors, and even times where the word Dom and Sub have been switched. I also thought the book had gender stereotypes. Often it would use masculine pronouns when talking about the Dom, assuming that the Dom is going to be a man, which is often not the case. I also think some of the tips for women were sexists. As a person just starting out in BDSM, I did learn some helpful things from this book. There is still some value in reading it. However I would suggest that others use additional resources when learning about BDSM. This book is like an introduction pamphlet, good for getting the general word out, but doesn't have a lot of hard information. ... show more
