1500 gives you impression that has more in it. Only 100 recipes. Most recipes can use fresh or freeze dried. So could be any recipe you have at home almost. Some recipes do not include anything freeze dried at all. Cover says 1500... but that is if you use each recipe 15 times. And most of them are not freeze dryer recipes. If you want a book that will help us use freeze dryer in interesting ways to make shelf stable food. This is not your book. ... show more

The editing is horrible, very few actual freeze drying recipes and a mixture of metric and imperial measurements within the same recipe.

  • Not worth the $4 I paid for it
The title is deceiving, there are not 1,200 recipes, there are only 100 recipes most of them are two to five servings. I was expecting to buy a book to learn how to freeze dry recipes, instead it's a book to take freeze dried ingredients and combine them together to make a recipe. There are also a lot of grammatical errors, and the book was most likely not written by an American as they mix ounces, grams, pounds, cups and millagrams in their ingredients. ... show more
