It was easy to build and looks good once completed. Some issues were like parts not labeled but you can look at the user manual and figure it out with little effort. Biggest issue was missing 2 parts. Had to go to local hardware store to get it. Many people have written reviews stating that this was difficult to assemble and I believe that would be true because I used Amazon primes assembly service for $79. They were prompt and the communication was excellent as far as notifications of arrival time and stating name and photo of person that was going to be doing the assembly. Alec did a great job putting this piece together and it took him an hour. I watched him as he worked and this was not something that I could’ve done by myself in that same hour. That’s not to say you can’t do it alone- it would just take time. As far as the item itself, it is a beautiful piece , well-made with no broken pieces or issues with missing items to build. One of my concerns was that the legs would come out farther than the dimensions of the piece and would not fit in my space. The legs come out as far as the edge of either side of the piece. So the dimensions listed are accurate. The packaging it came in was not damaged and it was basically a rectangle no thicker than 6 inches and about 5 feet tall. Don’t be afraid by this ... show more

I received this dresser two weeks ago and it's been a headache ever since. As soon as I opened the box and began putting it together, I discovered that the very first piece in the instruction manual didn't seem to have the proper-sized holes. I called customer service, was informed I'd been sent the wrong piece and told Prepac would send a replacement. The replacement took two weeks to arrive and as I began to put the item together again, I realized that I was also missing four drawer slides. Because the wooden pieces aren't labeled and there are well over 100 small hardware parts kept together in bags, it's incredibly difficult to get a sense ahead of time what might be missing until you start to construct the item. This entire process has been incredibly frustrating, and the amount of wasted product and resources that go into packaging and shipping replacement parts is ridiculous. ... show more

It's a $200 dresser. It's short, it's shallow, the drawers are small. It's clearly made for small rooms like those found in cheap apartments. It's light and easy to move up and down stairs with a buddy. The drawer gaps are only slightly uneven. Honestly, it looks exactly like the picture if you look close. I find it quite handsome. I actually think it's an exceptional value. The base is solid MDF, The drawers come with additional bottom supports. Just little touches that set it apart for other furniture in this price point. Overall, a decent piece for the price. Lots of pieces and hardware that were not labeled, but if you take the time to sort and separate before beginning to assemble, the process is not that bad. It took me about four hours to do it alone. Would have been much easier (faster) with two, as one could have assembled the drawers while the other was assembling the actual cabinet. There were a few damaged spots on the finished sides, but not worth having to repack and return. A wood marker will likely do the trick. For a do-it-yourself piece of furniture, the quality is quite nice for the price and the convenience of doorstep delivery is a bonus. But be warned: the box is HEAVY! If you have to carry it upstairs, you will absolutely want help. ... show more
