I like these bowls a lot. I've had them a couple of weeks now. They look very nice. They are sturdy. And they are a perfect size. The only issue I have is like other reviewers, the lids do not stay tight when they are put in the refrigerator. They are airtight before you put them in the refrigerator. But once they get cold they dont seal at all. That being said, I bought them for the bowls not the lids. And they are mixing bowls but I wanted them for storing my leftovers in the refrigerator. The bowls work perfect for what I bought them for. And I intend to buy some more. I just use aluminum foil to cover them and i use the lids for coasters so they dont scratch my glass shelves in the refrigerator. But they are really smooth on the bottom so I'm not sure they would even do that. So I love the bowls and i do recommend them. You have to decide if the lids are needed to you. ... show more

I enjoy using these for mixing as I was tired of plastic bowls getting scarred and scratched. I thought the lids would be more soft plastic and slightly more air and water tight.

Ok, I read the good and not so good reviews on these stainless steel nesting bowls. I just received them this morning and was pleasantly surprised on how well made these bowls are. I do not think they are cheaply made. I haven’t measured how much they hold but these are perfect for what I need them for, everyday baking and cooking. I see 1 persons review that after the first use she discovered a hole in the bowl. There is a little info sheet that came with the bowl set that states it comes with a 5 year limited warranty. I would think if given a phone call Finedine would most likely have replaced the bowl? There 1 lid that doesn’t fit tightly, but I’m thinking it needs to be used a bit before fitting good. These bowls are perfect for me and for the very reasonable price you can’t go wrong. ... show more

I just got this and haven't used them yet. But by just taking them out of the box and I am happy with my purchase. The bowls are very lightweight, which is nice, but does give me some hesitation; I probably would not suggest using a hand mixer in these. I am excited to see how well they hold up in the dishwasher. I am giving 4 stars, because the lids on the larger bowls do not seal properly, they really don't seal at all on the largest bowl. The smaller bowls do seal very tight. I don't see an issue with this as I got these more for cooking prep and not for storage; if I do use for storage, it would likely be the smaller bowl I use anyways. But something to think about if you are looking at these more so for storage. ... show more

    • Great for Mixing, Not So Great for Storage

I'm giving these 3 stars overall. While they are a durable set of mixing bowls, they failed in the key area I bought them for—storage. As anyone who needs a concoction to sit in the fridge knows, mixing bowls can take up a lot of room. You’re perpetually moving them in and out of the fridge to access other items. Plus Saran wrap doesn’t always cut it as a secure covering. That’s why I was SO excited when I came across these mixing bowls with sturdy lids that would snap securely into place. When I initially got the product, the lids worked great. But after 5 months of mostly sitting in my cabinet (with some light use), all the plastic lids have warped slightly and no longer fit securely on their respective bowls. Nothing was placed on top of the lids and they were stored horizontally, resting lightly on top of the mixing bowls as you would expect. I’m not quite sure what happened.
