I am using these to make tassels for zipper bags so they are working great after they are brushed out with a wire dog fur brush and are much cheaper than dmc brand floss. BUT they are a bit stiffer initially and might not be quite as good for true cross stitch and embroidery. I haven't tried it for that yet. Can't beat the price when you need a lot of floss. Likely would work great for friendship bracelets too

For the price it’s a good product, but there are little downfalls to the cheap embroidery floss. For instance, it knots up easily and that drives me nuts.

I have other Le Peon thread, but I really wanted to do a coffee-themed embroidery so I ordered this set. The thread is 100% cotton and doesn't bleed or discolor when washed, but it does have a slightly less smooth finish than normal DMC thread (DMC treats their cotton thread in a solution that gives it a smooth, slightly shiny finish, so if you hold them side by side, it is a little noticeably different) which I really like, it adds a softer, fluffiness to my stitches.

I generally like Le Paoan floss just fine, but I needed some bright (yellow leaning) greens for a project, so based on the photos I ordered a pack of floss that had some bright yellow greens in it. I thought I was sent the wrong pack until I checked the numbers and they are correct numbers, but the colors are actually much softer gray greens. No bright greens like the photo for color lot 991-502 😢

They have the exact colors they said abd what I needed, but as others have stated the thread is a bit rough and not the right kind. But it worked for the project I needed and during this pandemic I'm having a hard time getting to craft stores where I don't drive.

I have ordered a few of these color packs and also a starter kit which was not as high quality (as advertised for kids). These color packs give an excellent variety of vibrant colors. They have a lovely shine to them as well. If you are trying to color match as I was for a project, the colors are a bit different from the pictures as with trying to match any fiber. These color packs give such good variety on the colors for new projects though! The fibers themselves are strong and a bit stiff. It is not quite as smooth and soft as DMC brand so I have had the strands catch on each other a bit when separating every so often but it is still wonderful to work with and gives excellent results (Hand embroidery). For a great price you get good quality thread and very specific color sets. Overall I am very happy with these color packs and will be ordering again in the future.

This embroidery thread 🧵 is similar in quality to the individual skeins of floss that you find at JoAnn’s. It has a similar satin-like look and feel. I was expecting it to be stiffer and rougher in texture & appearance, like the cheaper multi-packs of floss that you can purchase, but it was not. I also like that I can purchase complimentary color families of floss for my projects (instead of a big pack of many colors.) I purchased this floss to create bendy dolls (& accessories) and it was perfect for creating various skin toned dolls. Highly recommended for various projects.

Ordered 1 pack initially to test the thread and was pleased with quality. I came back to order 4 more packs of various colors for my daughter. Lovely colors and seems to work well for her in making bracelets.
